Anyone heard of Sciton lasers?

I had my 1st treatment (Palomar MediLux) a month ago. Since then, they have purchased a Sciton laser to replace the Palomar. My next appt. will be in a week or so.

A Google search on “Sciton” reveals lots of listings for Sciton from hair removal companies, and at least it’s FDA approved for hair removal. But searches on “Sciton” on Hairfacts and this forum returns 0 hits.

The previous treatment worked OK and with trivial discomfort, but I’m willing to consider Sciton for the remaining treatments unless the consensus is that it’s a bad idea.

My situation: White male, dark brown hair, Type III or IV per the FAQ on this site. Removing back hair. Very few gray hairs (on my back, at least!).

Anyone know anything about Sciton?

TIA

it’s a Yag laser. they have scanning technology that is supposed to help not to miss spots. it’s been mentioned before on the forum and listed as a Yag laser in FAQs. I believe RC2001 has tried it. should be fine if Yag treatments are working on you now. Just a different brand of Yag.
