A coworker of mine has taken courses and rented a “Derma Flash” laser and has offered me a big discount to do hair removal on my legs.
But I’ve never heard of this laser before and I’ve been unsuccessful googling it (maybe I misheard her or I’m mispelling it?).
I’d like to find out if it is a true laser, and if it is any good. Because if it won’t be effective the “big discount” may turn out to be an expensive disappointment.
Does anybody know about this product?
I don’t think that can be the same device.
She said this one was made for laser hair removal, and even has a add-on electrolysis attachment for those red/grey hairs that don’t respond to laser.
She said it is from a company called Medop.
She said “It isn’t a yag system, but it is a true laser. It has a built in cooling system so you don’t need gel. It does not have UV. It uses Pulse Light (so many pulses per second). And it can also be used to treat acne”.
She will also come to my home to do the treatments, so although it is not light it is portable.
Does that help anyone know what this system is? I can’t find any info on anything with that name other than the link Lagirl provided above, but to me that doesn’t sound like the same device.
I’m not sure what to do! So any help figuring out whether this machine is good at permanent hair removal or not… I’d really appreciate it
can you call and ask her for the exact name? it sounds like an IPL, but there are literally hundreds of devices, so it’s impossible to guess which this is without an exact name.
these specs don’t really provide any information on hair removal effectiveness since they’re provided in bulk form for all treatments of various kinds this machine can perform. how much is your friend planning to charge you for these treatments? how qualified is she to set the right settings to avoid burning you while still producing results? I think i would look at these two things first before considering being a guinea pig for these treatments. it might not be worth the risk if the cost is not extremely cheap.
