Any thoughts about EPX16 w/ 32 probes?

Came across a website for Beverly Hills Hair Free (locations in BH and Dallas) touting some “new technological innovation” called EPX16. (see below)

Didn’t find any discussions here after searching “EPX16.” What the heck is this?

Thanks in advance for any info or opinions.

From their site:

Pioneering The Future Of Galvanic Electrology

EPX16 is a brand new technology and a collaboration between Beverly Hills Hair Free and ElectrologyTech™. Using AI, we have engineered a smart-device that can achieve results faster than any electrology device currently on the market. More compact and fully digital, EPX16 offers faster speeds and current adjustments. A connector cable can merge two 16 channel units together because “32 probes are better than 1”.

There are three types of energy, under the umbrella of electrolysis, that permanently disable hair follicles - Galvanic, Blend and Thermolysis. They all work great with skilled hands.

I have not heard of this unit, but it describes the galvanic method, enhanced with new technology. I will ask my colleagues about this on closed facebook site and see what they know. Thank you for the question.

I’ll take a stab. Computerized multi-needle galvanic. Looks cool.

There’s been discussion of a newer mng unit inspired by Noreen Roesler. Noreen andI havent always seen eye to eye on some things but she’s a respectable electrologist…I havent kept up with it but this may be the Unit in question. There hasnt been a MNG machine produced in decades, but there are still a lot of electrologists who swear by them. Now if there was amultiple needle blend machine, I might be more interested.

Thanks for these responses. Helped me find some of your other posts about multi-needle galvanic. Thinking this is probably not what I need.

I had a relatively small part of a personal area cleared maybe ten years ago w/ an experienced practitioner in Hollywood, CA. Lots of regrowth since then – but never wanted to go back. (Was painful, over many sessions and often had inflammed spots that took weeks to heal.) Would like to find someone else if I do it again.

Any suggestions about best method for this kind of work? (base of the tree, not the entire forrest!) Or is it more about the practictioner than a particular method?

Thanks again for your help!

This is a tough one. No it’s not probably something you want to buy a machine for to do one part, especially on yourself. On the other hand you might have a bit of a problem finding someone to actually do it, and honestly , for some good reason. I actually have done a ton of work on some of those errant offshoots from this part of the tre. But the reason you’ll have a hard time finding someone is on some of these cases with CIS men, theres no issue but with others, well it turns into a nightmare for the electrologist. Let me show you three examples to demonstrate the difference in clients.
Client one is one of my many transgirl clients getting preparation for either PEritneal pullthough or penile inversion GRS. This client is perfect. No problems. None of them are prepared for discomfort and most are several years on hrt. Erections are a memory which is good, because as electrologists we need to be able to manipulate the skin to get accurate insertions. They get the job done because they have to and are fantastic regular attending clients dedicated to the process.

Client 2: My biker dude and the sweetest guy to ever grace my clinic. Used to pay in cash , never a problem and come infrequently for what was more torture than reasonable, often 4-5 hour sessions. Never once a problem. I miss this guy so much , and years later , we still exchange emails on occasion. Fantastic guy. You, want to be this client.

Then there’s client number 3. I terminated him from my clinic for reasons I will explain, never with me or any or my employees or coworkers, which he tried to do years later and I saw and cancelled on the spot. Why? This guy could not stop getting his bloody rocks off on my table… From the moment he arrived this guy was erect which is a problem, we need the skin flacid so we can stretch the follicle and get a good insertion. But this guy stayed erect and worse,as treatment progressed , he literally leaked precum off his privates and onto my gloved hand. After a couple rounds of this, I refused to see him . I realize now he was probably popping a few viagra before every appointment and yes, he was definitely getting his rocks off. Sorry you want that, go see a massage parlour or a pro.

But I’m not alone in this experience as an electrologist , and hell I’m a transwoman and didnt think I had to worry about this kind of thing. But every electrologist has their experience like this and when they are CIS women operating alone and vulnerable in a otherwise private space, stuff like this will cause you refuse all cis male client work on genitals. Many do make that their policy.

Honestly though, you may have an easier time seeing a male electrologist for something like this, they are likely to be more open to it. But your average electrologist female working alone, most will say no.
