Any real permanent success stories?

The thread I provided was created by me on another forum since I’m a moderator there and I’m the one keeping it up. We could start one here too, but it would have the same exact info and would mean that I would have to copy everything twice. Do you want to volunteer to keep up this thread? None of us are paid here, just so you understand. So every request like this is taxing. I’m all for it, but I’d prefer someone else keep it up. I already spend quite a bit of time here as you can tell retyping the same thing over and over again for the past 5 years

All our contributors are valuable and the ones you are bashing above are doing the forum a great service by actually keeping up a detailed report of their current laser and electrolysis treatments, which most don’t follow through with. I wouldn’t take those things for granted. We can only hope that you will continue to contribute and will keep up your treatments thread after you get what you need out of this forum!

I gotta say you are all god damn pathetic. I remember the internet when every second user wasnt a troll, attention whore, lowlife or plain old moron fucker with hundreds of posts because he just has to say SOMETHING every now and then, no matter how nitpicky and useless.

I can identify with the OP, who has had to browse through gigabytes of garbage and spam only to find out that the information he is seeking doesnt exist. Every page you visit tells you the same vague thing, every person you ask doesnt know any more than you do. So you lay it out evenly and strictly in the hopes that everybody is as honest and genuine as you are. You keep having hopes that the net is truly the high-tech dream science fiction stories kept describing decades ago, but you keep being proven wrong.

I hate nothing more than creating a thread like this, being genuine like I always am, coming back a few days later, and OMG 50 REPLIES!! 50 people have had permanent results?! Sweet! Oh wait… its just 50 bullshit posts by attention whoring retards arguing semantics and ranting lengthy lectures about how I am so demanding, insensitive and rude (AS IF YOU ARE SOMEBODY).

If anything is demanding it is asking me to dig through trash again through a million threads looking for success stories. Maybe I have wasted enough time on that before. Sure you are a community and can post whatever you want, but do me a favor and fucking act like one.

So heres some advice, save both yourself and the OP some trouble and simply ignore the thread if it clearly doesnt address you. If none of you fit the criteria, then his thread will have 0 replies, and although he would be disappointed, it would have finally answered his question. And if people who qualify for the criteria do reply, it will benefit others besides just him.

Thats my 10 cents.

Lol on Murach what a sad post! To be honest I’m totally offended that you would have the nerve to say those of us with hundreds of posts just nitpick and have nothing useful to say. As LAGirl mentioned, we are volunteers, no one gets paid to help anyone on here and if you actually read the posts we write, the majority of the responses are from people thanking us for helping them out and sharing our stories and giving them the confidence to do laser themselves.

If anyone on here is a troll it’s you, as you just jumped into this thread at the end with nothing positive to say regarding anything to do with the OP and instead just bashed other users.

Had no one replied and the OP had 0 results, then him and anyone else reading this thread would think laser doesn’t work since no one has results. It’s not as simple as that, he was basically asking for a straight forward perfect answer when laser isn’t that easy. I don’t own a laser clinic or have any financial interest in one, however I love the technology and will defend it whenever I can.

As I said in a previous post I have nothing against the OP’s questions, however it was the way they asked basically shutting out pretty much everyone on here who actually can assist and help out other than maybe LAGirl. You need to get a life, telling people it’s ridiculous to read through previous posts? Do you have any idea how many times, myself, lagirl, magicalprincesskitty, james etc etc on here have answered the SAME question over and over? Do you know how many times (including yourself based on your previous posts) have wrote the same old questions like “how often do I have to go for laser?” “what is the difference with diode and alex?” “do I have to shave before going?” “can someone recommend a clinic in SF or Toronto?” All super basic questions that have been covered in the FAQ. No one needs to answer these same questions over and over again, yet we do to help people out. We all have lives and jobs and do this to help people out, it’s not like we make money from this site. So to be so ignorant and actually expect people to repeat themselves 50 times just so one person doesn’t have to do the slightest bit of work and do a 30 second search is ridiculous.

This whole thread is a complete waste of time and I’ve spent enough energy replying to it. In fact, I’m supposed to go to dinner right now and I’m making my friend wait downstairs just to type out this reply, which I’ve done SO many times when actually writing a reply to help someone out and answer questions. This is the last post I’m putting on this thread. If Meowmeow or anyone else has any serious questions they want to ask they can feel free to PM me or ask in a new thread.

Just to add one more thing, I’m actually so offended by that last post. Not because of this thread, but because you had the nerve to say we are trolls and just nitpick on here. When I joined this thread (search my original posts) I was asking for advice on how to use my Silk’n! I was just as clueless as anyone, however I spent hours on here reading posts, talking and learning and bettering my knowledge. In fact, I’ve even tried different lasers JUST to see if they work and how they work! I switched from GentleLASE to Apogee just to see the difference and even had one treatment with Soprano XL before only because I wanted to see how it felt, even though I was getting results with the alex! Why did I do that? Because I love laser and find it so interesting, and love coming on here sharing my experiences and being able to give my advice and explain how IPL worked for me, as well as the other lasers I’ve used. I’m lucky in a sense that money isn’t as huge of an issue to me as some on here like students. I’m able to go to different clinics and try things out. So watch your mouth before you start throwing out insults.

Oh, by the way bitches, I’m the nicest gay guy you’ll ever meet.

Who says that the forums are boring?

Where to put a good forum, to remove a boxing match!

Murach, regardless of whether you think the OP has a reasonable request, your response is the most “trolling” here. You have called us “whres", “lowlifes” "moron fckers” and “attention wh*ring retards”. That is unreasonable. And for the record, I have so many posts because I answer every question I know the answer to. Simple as that, I want to help as many hurting people as I can.

Admins: I have quoted some of the worst parts of Murach’s post for you just in case he sneakily tries to edit it out later. I don’t think this is an appropriate way to contribute to the debate. James is often too sweet to ban people (even spammers sometimes), but hopefully he will at least give a warning for this abusive behavior if not worse.

I never mentioned anyone specific. This thread is one of hundreds ive seen all over the net.

edit:

Do you know how many times (including yourself based on your previous posts) have wrote the same old questions like “how often do I have to go for laser?” “what is the difference with diode and alex?” “do I have to shave before going?” “can someone recommend a clinic in SF or Toronto?” All super basic questions that have been covered in the FAQ.

I never asked any of those simple questions. Nobody was able to reliably answer the questions I asked, but im not complaining, thats not what I came on here for.

Coward. Say what you want, we all know who you meant.

And if you were theoretically not referring to specific people in this thread, then it was just as off-topic as anyone else. But it’s moot because you were clearly referring to people who were uncomfortable taking orders from the OP.

EDIT: Even if you DID word your insults in a vague way, we know you meant us specifically (not hundreds of other internet users) because you said “YOU are all goddamn pathetic”. (emphasis mine).

Uncomfortable clicking on a thread, realizing its not addressed to you and moving along? Weird.

It’s a public thread. It’s addressed to anyone who is interested in adding their opinion.

Why does this concept elude you?

Okay, so you are choosing to waste your time getting into long rants about netiquette and letting the world know how much being filtered by someone seeking genuine results insults your personal values. You did that without me.

Yes, well… I have to do SOMEthing while I procrastinate on homework :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, all my rants were shorter than your huge rant. Pot, meet Kettle.

If you say so.

To Whom It May Concern:

I decided to participate in this thread, because I found the words hard to 3 people, bound for Meow. I wanted to be subtle, not to offend anyone in particular.
I do not know how my words have been interpreted (not yet well controlled Anglo-Saxon humor, although I like very much).

Most regrettable of all this is how all of us have done just the opposite of what the author wanted thread.
I apologize to Meowmeow, and I sincerely hope you will forgive me.

Let’s all close our eyes and think of bunnies, chickies and lambs enjoying each others company on a bright, sunny warm day  .

I have to thank someone here. Murach’s intense response helped me burn calories. I just had to set my laptop on my treadmill( with my special treadmill laptop holder) and go back and re-read the whole thread. I walked slowly and read carefully. Thanks, Murach, for the calorie burn.

Personally, I think meow’s original question was reasonable and polite. A lot of the frustration occurs because we have no success thread here where people can see a clear pattern of success stories in one swoop. I understand his attempt to make things concise and easier for himself and others. He sounds like a detailed oriented nice guy, maybe a research type, that was just trying to be helpful.

Dee

You welcome, dfahey.

Everyone, I didnt mean to be so intense, I was in a bad mood yesterday, thats all.

That post is just offensive, Murach, and makes you sound like an inexperienced 18-year-old.

Do you have a difficulty expressing yourself without profanities? This isn’t allowed on the forum. There are rules here. Someone actually runs the forum and pays for it. You’re using it for free. You get information here for free. You should really be more appreciative of the fact that people take the time to reply to any posts you make or any questions you have.

If someone like me or the other posters above wouldn’t be here daily answering people’s questions out of the goodness of their hearts, this forum would be what it used to be several years ago and basically useless as questions would just stay here unanswered. I, for one, am always appreciative of Kitty and edokid because due to their help, I need to repeat myself slightly less. Do you realize how many posts I’ve typed over and over again over the last 5 years with the same exact info? Everyone, including you, thinks their situation is unique.

Anyway, it’s not your job to judge what a forum community should or shouldn’t be. You should be grateful there are people out there who are willing to provide you with unbiased information you can’t get elsewhere for free at the expense of their time. I say learn to say thank you and appreciate it, or get out. I can tell you that demanding and unappreciative posters won’t be missed by the community or any new posters. They don’t add any value to the forum. Posters like edokid and Kitty make this forum useful.

I didn’t post when I first saw this thread as I didn’t feel I met meowmeow’s requirements but nevertheless I was itching to do so.

I feel I can now say that the requirements to post are really oversimplifying hair removal.

I don’t need to say again that Laser is considered permanent reduction. I did not go into treatments expecting complete hair removal but an 80-90% reduction. Let’s say one develops more hair after some years, who’s to say the Laser wasn’t effective? Rather that these are new hairs.

Anyway, for example, I had my last underarm treatment (#6) in July 2009. I don’t know if I will qualify for this thread in July 2010 because around October 2008 instead of having a 7th Laser treatment, I decided to finish off the remaining fine hairs with electrolysis. Now my underarms are actually less hairy than the surrounding area. I hope they stay this way but some may discount my results due to the fact that I also had electrolysis, even though it was only 10-15min appointments every 3 weeks.

I want to be first to thank all who contribute generously in this forum.
By the number of shares, Lagirl seems to be the most time invested in the forum.

LAgirl Sincerely, THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

In my case, and about the time I can spend. It is more than compensated.
The forum gives me much more than I can add to it.

It enriches me in all aspects, professional, cultural and humanely.
It is extraordinary, to probe all sorts of people across this planet, so mistreated.
As if all this were not enough reason for me to be grateful, there is a reason: My English vocabulary is enriched dramatically. I surprise myself by reading answers without the help of a translator. It is a way of learning “passive.” But that’s how children learn, right?.

For all these things: Thanks again to everyone involved to keep it alive.

Murach, this time I’m going to be that demands. I want you to be the next person to thank.
Believe me, you’ll feel much better and you’ve compensated for the lack of maturity of your own young.

Thanks to you also.

Josefa

I did already, I have thanked LAgirl and all the people who contributed in my thread. What participants did in this thread was counterproductive and plain annoying.

@LAGirl, you forget I am one of those participants posting their journals and unbiased information here too, so it makes us even.
And you dont know the half of my experience, Ive been posting on forums for a really long time.
