Another electrolysis success story!

First and foremost, thank you to all on this forum for your precious advices.
I started electrolysis on my upper lip 6 months ago. After a few problems with a practionner who was using a current too high for me which lead to hyperpigmentation and a few little marks, I followed the advice on this forum and tried with another practionner who did (and is still doing) a fab job.

I can confirm that hyperpigmentation did fade away as well as the small marks on my skin, which looked like needle marks.
Simply need to be patient, as James says, increase your vitamin C intake and also apply vitamin C serum on it at night time!

After 6 months the result is impressive, I have never had so little hair on my upper lip. It is definitely worth the harssle & the pain!!!
I even started on the belly now

Thanks for the update. We’d appreciate your recommendation of your electrologist for others in London too.

Could you post links to both products please?

Of course, sorry I should have thought of doing it!
My electrologist is Tricia Huxley at Beauty Plus, 30 Forest Hill Road, South East London SE22 0RR.
She works there on Mondays, Fridays & Staurdays. She is very gentle and never damaged me like the 1st one!

Regarding the products I used for hyperpigmentation & marks:
Solgar Ester C 1000mg but I am sure there are a lot of other great vitamins out there.
The serum was the Vitamin C serum from John Masters Organics. Instead of applying all over the face, I applied a thick layer just on the upper lip every night.

I hope this helps

What machine did the electrolgist use and which setting? Thermolysis?

Which place or who did you go to first?

Hi,

Both places appeared to be doing thermolysis though as a client I am still quite confused regarding the machines.

Regarding the settings, in the 1st place, they used 27 then dropped it to 25 after my skin’s reaction.
The 2nd place is using settings at 22 which seems to work better for me.

H hope it helps

Who was your first electrologist? I assume it was someone on BIAE.

Hi Emily,

No actually neither the 1st or 2nd are on BIAE. There is only a very restricted list so googled it instead.
In all honestly I feel quite bad naming the 1st lady I saw as maybe some people are happy with her. She’s been doing it for years so I guess no everyone runs away  But she is on Lordship lane in East Dulwich if that helps.

With Tricia, I am now also doing the belly as well as regular touch up on the upper lip. I recently went for a session on the belly in Renew Medica in Oxford Circus simply because it was easier as I had to be in the west end that day and though it was fine I still had more marks (which healed nicely) than when I see Tricia hence the fact that I feel quite comfortable recommending her.
