I did not recieve my call today from american laser skincare and found out they screwed everybody and are will not pay back our money,they closed all shops all over the country,i already spent many thousands over the last ten years and im frikking pissed,if i dont get taken care somebody is in alot of trouble.
Yes, you have EVERY right to be furious!
We talked about American Laser closing a few weeks ago. Yes, they were taking hefty deposits right up until the day they closed. Obviously, this was not a mistake, but a way to collect even more unearned money! (The same people did this identical scam earlier using another name. They changed their name and “did it again!”)
The horrific reality is that you will not be able to recover your funds; even the money you pre-paid for treatments you did not receive! American (business) laws are “stacked” against the consumer. If they went bankrupt, you are out of luck!
The real criminals, the ones in white shirts and ties, never seem to go to jail or get appropriate punishment.
Never never never pay for any services BEFORE you get it.
Think about this: would you pre-pay a restaurant weeks before getting your meal.
Think before you BELIEVE in some quack that promises you everything and delivers nothing.
I don’t understand how the Federal Government can’t intervene and hold this company and alike accountable? There have to be laws and regulations against such business practices. The bigger question is who has the money to navigate the legal bureaucracy for a decade to get any justice. But I wished that thousands of these victims would use social media, and news to get exposure to their plight so that government can step in and do right.

I knew one of the people (most-likely) involved in this scam … his name comes up all the time. He actually worked in my office for a VERY short time … I got him out FAST because I think he’s basically crazy. Still, this person pretended to be a physician (not true) for years and ripped off several honest and gullible physicians.
As I mentioned earlier, my swimming buddy, Daniel Simon, is a lawyer and pre-paid $1,000 for lasik eye surgery. The next week the office was closed. He sued and after 5-years, he got a check for $80. That’s all that was left after the bankruptcy.
Capitalism is a great system, but the scales are now rigged against the consumer. We pay off the banks, people lose their homes, and the banks re-claim the homes and sell them again. Our government (and both parties) is a total ZERO when it comes to actually protecting the innocent from the criminal business element.
