American Laser Centers

I just recieved a 300 dollar cupon off a treatment package. Does anyone know if this is some sort of scam? Also if anyone knows what type of lasers ALC uses and could give feedback on treatments if they have recieved any from ALC, that would be great.

Thanks

In short, yes, it’s a scam. Run a search here if you want to read (bad) reviews on this company and their tactics to get you in the door. Everyone gets this coupon. It’s not a coupon, it’s just a way to get you in. They pretend the treatment costs more and then give you the “discount” to make you feel like you’re getting a deal.

I would say you need to judge for yourself. For instance:

  1. Call them for a quote, without telling them about the coupon. They will likely refuse to give you a quote over the phone, especially for single treatments.

  2. Find out what equipment they use. You’ll likely discover they use a house-brand “Amerilight” IPL+RF or “Amerilase” diode lasers, not name-brand systems like Lightsheer and GentleLASE.

  3. Ask who would be treating you. You’ll likely find you’ll be treated by a “laser technician”. Ask what their qualifications are. Did they simply attend a sales course, with minimal emphasis on laser safety and efficacy? Do they have a medical certificate?

  4. Find out what other services and products they offer. You may realize they are sales-focused rather than treatment-focused. Do you want to be treated like a customer or a patient?

I think you’ll come to the conclusion many others have, once you speak with them at any length.
