SHE has to put up with taunts and stares everywhere she goes, along with unkind names like “Wolfgirl”. But just because she has thick fur-like hair all over her face seven-year-old Nat sees no reason to hide herself away.

She proudly poses alongside her classmates in her “graduation” robe, clutching a certificate after completing her kindergarten course with top marks.

Supatra Sasuphan - Nat to friends and family - suffers from a rare genetic disorder known as Ambras syndrome or congenital hypertrichosis, which makes fur grow all over her back as well as her face. It affects only one person in a billion and just 50 people in the world have been diagnosed with it since it was first recorded in 1648. Full article
