Am I suitable for Laser treatment?

Hey everyone,

I am been considering to undergo a hair reduction treatment. I dont know whether laser is suitable for my arms and chest. I am only seeking like 40% hair permanent hair reduction.

DO you guys reckon I am suitable for laser treatment?

Update:Forgot to say that I am north Indian.

Any good laser clinic in Sydney Australia?

Hi, if you are north indian and judging from your photos, you need a Nd:YAG laser. The Cynosure Apogee elite is a machine which has both the Alexadrite and Nd:YAG so if you can find a clinic with that, that would be good.

Yes, that hair is very coarse ande great for laser. I’d go with a Yag laser regardless since you only want a reduction.

There are posts on the forum by SydneyGorilla. You can check out the clinic he used.

Would the laser also thin out the hair? The hair on chest is very painful after it regrowths from my trimming. Imagine it growing inside and everytime that particular spot touches the t-shirt it hurts.

Yes, laser can make the hair lighter and finer. This can be accomplished with 3-4 treatments instead the usual 6-10 for maximal clearance.

You just need to have only a few treatments, 3-4 or so spaced 8-12 weeks apart, for just a reduction. Make sure they overlap well and don’t miss spots to avoid patchiness.

Is it very common to have ingrowing hair after Yag laser?

By the way, what is the difference between Gentle YAG laser and ND YAG laser?

Hair falls out after being treated. LHR actually gets rid of ingrowns. That’s a huge reason people get it done.

GentleYAG is a Yag laser made by Candela. There are various models of Yags made by several manufacturers.

Do laser professionals miss this a lot?

Not good ones.

Here I am providing few addresses of Laser Hair Removal clinic in Australia, hoping that it will be helpful.
