Aftercare

What are your top aftercare tips?

Why do some clients find it so diffiult to adhere to the no water on the treated area for 24-48 hours, what does the water actually do to the area if applied.

I’ve never heard of a ‘no water’ rule.

Keep your hands off. (No touching, picking, tweezing, etc.)
Keep it clean. (Witch hazel can be used for cooling after treatment and cleaning within the next few days.)

Those two are the basics. I also tell clients to avoid hot tubs, swimming pools, lakes and pond swimming, and do not get a massage for several days after treatment. Clients might also feel heat in the treated area when they take a hot shower after their treatment.

Clean water should have no adverse effects on the treated area.

I was always taught to avoid putting water on the area for up to 48 hours? Hmm…! Ive always wondered why not though as its just clean water… STRANGE
