ADVICE ON POSSIBLE BURN AND HOLLYWOOD LASER

I had my 4th treatment on full legs today and first treatment for full body and the technician advised me that she wouldnt recommend having the Hollywood laser done due to it causing colon issues so I didnt have it done, is this true does anybody know?

Also now my thigh area is burning hot and I think she may of burned me as it red, what shall I do?
Also the bikini area [full groin] and armpit absolutely killed me is that normal seeing as I didnt feel anything with the other body parts.

Machine used was Soprano XL and prior to today I have never experienced any side effects but this is the first treatment with a i different clinic.

Apply COLD Aloe Vera and Hydrocortizone. If you wish, call me at 212-750-2000 so I can give you advise over the phone.

  1. Hard to say if you were burned without a picture or seeing you in person. Redness and swelling can be normal reactions so long as they subside within a few days. In any case, the treatment is basically the same: treat it as you would treat any other minor burn. Cool (but not ice cold) aloe vera gel should be fine. Do not ice the area.

  2. Laser only works on coarse, dark hair. The vast majority of people don’t have such hair all over the body. Please be sure you are only treating areas amenable to laser. Otherwise, you could end up with MORE hair.

  3. Hard to say if the laser malfunctioned without knowing your skin type, settings, etc. You also don’t mention the parameters of your previous treatment (laser used, settings, reaction, whether the hair shed, etc.) In any case, be sure to apprise the clinic of your specific symptoms.

  4. I have never heard of the “Hollywood laser”… Regardless, as far as I’m aware, no dermatological medical laser used today has been linked to colon issues.

JMISR said everything I would have said, so I concur

Hi thanks for the advice, I tried the aloo vera gel and it seems to have done the trick.

What I meant is that the lady basically said she recommend lasering the anal area due to it causing colon issues, and I am pretty gutted as that was 1 of the main areas I wanted lasering,

The anus is a treatable area.

The only issue you could have would be if you flatulated at the same time the laser is fired. Farts are flammable !

Placing wet gauze over the area right before treatment solves the problem.

What she says simply isn’t true. She may not want to treat it for other reasons.
