Advice on laser (from groupon)

I bought a coupon from groupon for a laser hair removal, you know got too excited ($99 for 3 treatments on chin and upper lip) well now i see the 4 five star reviews were 100% made by them but I guess I will go and check it out (even though they’re located at a GYM and at a salon in a MALL cough).

I don’t know much about lasers but are these any good and which ones would be more suitable on black coarse hair and light skin (i usually buy the 2nd lightest shade in powder)?

Is it easy to get burned with lasers? What settings usually burn people? (just in case if i have to stop them).

For those who had laser done on stomach, how much did it cost (i know t differs but i’m trying to get an estimate), or would it be more fruitful with electrolysis?

Thanks! This forum is a god-send to someone as hairy as me.

I’m in Nassau, Long Island, so i’m open for recommendations for laser hair removal places in the city (i work there)

ihatebody hair thank you for your reply. Eeek that seems like I made a huge mistake buying it, I guess I’ll sel it for cheap/give it to someone:(

The hair on my face is very coarse and dark and there’s a lot of hair, i usually spend an hour tweezing then shaving. The hair on my stomach is a little less coarse than on my face but it’s black and thick so I think I would be an ideal candidate for a laser.
I will try to take pictures later when I’ll get home.

Thank you for he recommendation, I will definitely check R&J out. If you don’t mind me asking, how are their prices? I keep reading they’re really expensive but at this point all I care about is effectiveness and not having my skin burned.

You can always email Groupon and they refund no questions asked most of the time.

I’d recommend doing more research before jumping into LHR. Please make sure you have the right type of hair to treat with laser. For most of the hair you describe, you may need electrolysis.
