I am looking for experiences of others who have had laser hair removal and are also a type I. I have red hair. Light brown hair on my legs and in my 50s. I also have hypothyroidism. Did it work? Were there any complications? Thanks.
If you search through sslhr’s posts, he basically explained that laser cannot see red hair UNLESS the roots are darker brown.
Those aren’t his exact words, so you might want to sift through his posts for better meaning.
Red hair is probably not going to be affected unless the roots have actual dark pigment. Do you have pictures?
With your condition, are you taking any medication? Have you seen a endocrinologist? What areas are you looking to treat and what type of hair is on each area? Electrolysis may have to be the permanent solution for most of it in your situation instead of laser.
