I was hoping I’d get a little feedback on this thread because not having done any thermolysis before I was a little afraid of screwing up.
I did have Nightfrost try a few under the chin. Unfortunately although the hairs released nicely he didn’t get sheaths with the hairs.I then looked at the probe and discovered why, and whyI was growling with almost every hair with blend, thelye ball on the probbe was almost at the hilt or a regular length probe. He was going too deep.
Change of tactics and I tried a few on my cheek.I have a hard time with this as insertions are always a challenge and take longer to accomplish when working on yourself in a mirror. But I was getting good withdrawls with about 90% of the hais coming out with Sheaths. Nightfrost having watched this was asked to try and he did much better, quick easy removals with little sensation He also worked along under my jawline, and I’d say he was grabbing about 10-12 hairs a minute so much faster progress than the blend I’d worked with previously.A few larger hairs required two shots of treatment energy.
The treatment levels we used were flash, for .08 seconds at 84% ( cycle 3-8) which seemed to work fine. I no longer go spray on treatment, maybe once or twice which I think is from not being deep enough in the follicle.
I have to admit, with all my apprehension, I’m extrememly appreciative of he speed at whic hair epilates. To put a few comparisons between the two modes I’ve worked in:
The flash thermolysis treatment cycle is less than a second. Compared to the nearly 20 seconds required to remove the same hair with blend.
Tolerance is immensely improved. The short duration f the thermolysis treatment means its over in an instant. The amount of pain is less than even the minor bit of thermolysis used in blend.
I’'m still going to be using blend on the areas I have more difficult insertions , mostly because I cant guarntee the inseertion angle. I think it might actually be kinder for me though to use thermolysis on chin and upper lip where insertions are quite a bit easier. With this tool in the toolbox ( even if I am extremely apprehensive with it) it should make catchup a lot faster.
