I read here Apilus is good. But I’m worry about insertions :frowning:
Is “Smart Set” helping about insertion?

And if i buy how i will choose the settings or power! Because my english is a little bad, i read here and don’t exactly understand :frowning:

Please help me!

Hi Niabelle,
Welcome to hairtell !

Is electrolysis hair removal popular in Turkey ? Did you take photos of your arm before and after treatment ?

You could buy a machine to do electrolysis yourself on your own body, but this is not easy. You have to practice a lot for doing good insertions and be able to remove properly hair. Moreover, if you are right or left handed, it will be very hard to do yourself the other arm.

If you will buy a machine, you may receive the instructions also I guess, but again, this is not easy to do your own arms. If you decide to buy this machine, you should began practicing on your legs first.

Don’t be afraid to ask other questions

Hi adrien_sanchiz, thanks for answer me.
A lot of people go to electrolysis hair removal in Turkey. But most of these people is not happy about treatments.
I didn’t take photos of my arm before treatment. But i can take photos if it helps.
I’m thinking that my mother can do this on me, it’s more easy. I’m just afraid if we can’t be successfull. Because machines are expensive a little.

And i want to ask that, there are machines with only Thermolysis and they are cheap. Which is better to buy? Only thermolysis enough for me?

You have to know that a machine is not a guarantee of a successful hair removal treatment. The key element for a successful permanent hair removal is the hand of the practitioner, in this case : your ability (or your mother’s, to properly do insertions and master the settings of the machine.

Of course you can buy a simple machine with only thermolysis.

It’s a shame that you can not find a good practitioner in your country. I hope you could find a solution.

I’m really sad, i hope i can find.
And the important thing is settings of the machine, right? I read a lot here but i didn’t understand how to do. Really complicated.

I am sorry for you. But as I said, electrolysis is a job and it takes years of practicing to be a good electrologist. Some pros here will agree with me.

Of course you can do DIY electrolysis (practicing on your own body). Some people here did it. Setting and insertions are both very important.

Settings depends on the machine, and also on the type of hair and skin. If you buy a machine, you may receive instructions which could help you for beginning.

Niabelle if you are at all considering the DIY route I dont recommend you start with a thermolysis only machine. It’s a difficult to master modality that is not well suited to beginners. A machine that is capable of blend, will be easier to learn.

Seana

If i buy, I’ll buy a machine with blend. Thanks for advice Seana.
But more important thing is i should know about settings.I think it’s hard to understand about settings.

I really dont know with the cleo what it’s capabilities are so I cant help much. Most of the apilus line however has “presets” that allow you to choose the modulation and intensities by area and type of hair. I personally found on my ( admittedly more advanced apilus than the cleo would be) machine the settings were just short of being sufficient, but a good base to start from and work up from there.

That said from my understanding the cleo is a really basic machine meant for esthicians who only do electrolysis part of the time. It may not have presets. And the manual, would be of little help, none of the apilus manuals particularly well describe all the functions.if that’s the case, it my be worth your while to learn how to test for tolerance and skin reaction, and determine your own best settings from there.

I have worked with the Cleo Blend for a short time. It is a basic machine, and the blend version (in pulsed blend mode with galvanic to 0) is a lot more versatile than the thermolysis only Cleo. I did not look for presets but would be surprised if it had none.

Settings are pretty close to those of an Apilus Junior which i find not surprising.

In contrast to Seana my opinion on DIY blend is that there are more possibilities to damage the skin.

But if EVER possible get (and pay for) some training before starting. It is MUCH safer if the first steps are done under the eyes of an experienced Electrologist, and You’ll be able to work safe and efficient a lot earlier than without training.

Niabelle,I have a client who firstly had poor treatment in Sydney, then excellent treatment in Istanbul, at a clinic that has an apilus platinum. She is now in Sydney again and we are finishing up some areas and starting others. Unfortunately due to both of us having holidays, I am unable to get the contact details right now, but I can assure you that great treatment is available in Turkey.

If you are in Istanbul the best place to go is Neka Güzellik in Şişli.
