A teen wanting to remove beard and facial hair.

I am only 16 years old and started shaving about a year ago only on the beard line. Yet I have facial hair around the cheeks and forehead. Its noticeable when I shave because the facial hair that was unshaven makes a darker tone of my skin. The facial hair was there since i was 9 and never touched it and it grew to a point where its noticeable 5 feet away. Im thinking of laser to remove the facial hair and most of the beard (planning on leaving the chin and mustache alone tho). The beard is still not course so Im wondering if i could thin it out to a point where it vellus hair. any ideas?

Laser only works on coarse dense hair.

If you want, you can start electrolysis. That way, you can be selective about which hair you keep and which you remove. It’s more precise as it removes hair one by one.

I would, however, recommend shaving for now until at least your early to mid 20s when most of the hair will have come in. At this point, you’re only starting to produce more hair, so you’ll need to go in pretty consistently to catch all the new hairs that come in due to hormonal changes.

Alright Ill look into that and thanks too.
