A.R. Hinkel classic cord & holder

Hello!

I bought a second hand A.R. Hinkel Classic machine some time ago. The unit works great, and I’ve been using it for some time now. However the needle holder and cord aren’t in the best condition, and I should replace it.

For weeks I’ve been trying to contact Texas Electrolysis Supply without any luck. I just don’t get any response from emails. I’m sure TES have a cord & holder to suit, but the product list and web site make it hard to be sure which cord can suit.

I’m hoping that someone here has more knowledge about the various cords and holders from TES and be able to recommend one. I’m using F shank, single piece Ballet needles at the moment, and prefer more than a 3" holder with a decent length cable. The machine has a BNC connector and no air.

Thank you!

try calling 281 486 5617. I had to go back through my phone logs but I’m 90% sure that’s TES’s local phone number.

Hi Seana. Thanks for the number, I’ll keep that handy for later. I live in Australia, and cannot call international from my phone at the moment. So I have to rely on email, until I can sort out my phone plan.

Contact the Hinkel company driectly. Respond to Bill Schuler (owner of the company). You will get the cords super fast.

(I have a cabinet full of cords … I’ll send you a few if you like. FREE! Or maybe I can bring you a few … if you live in Cairns for sure, I want another “dive at the reef!”)

Hi Michael. I was under the impression that Hinkel wouldn’t sell any supplies to me without a business in the industry? This is mentioned on their web site when ordering.

This also essentially seems to be how other Australian electrolysis suppliers are too. Have I got my facts wrong about Hinkel?

I’ll get you what you need! If my arm-twisting doesn’t work, I’ll get the damned things and send them to you myself!

(If you live anywhere near Melbourne, probably Trudy Fleming can help you?)

I’m not in the “business” and Hinkel company sent me replacement chords and pedals for UC3 with no questions asked. Call them first if you’re not sure but I just ordered directly online without having to prove whether I’m in the “business.” (I only regret getting K shank now, should have went for F shank chord. Ohh, well off topic, I know.) I think it’s best dealing with manufacturers directly when it comes to less popular/common machines these days. I too first tried with other major supply distributors who did not have the parts stocked for Hinkel machines.
