Hello - I recently started electrolysis on my upper arms (from shoulder to elbow). Please see the following thread for details:

I am wondering how long should I wait after my first clearance to undergo another series of electrolysis sessions. Prior to beginning electrolysis, it would take approximately 2 weeks for the hair to start growing (after using an epilator) - with full growth taking approximately 6-8 weeks.
For my first clearance it took about 5 hours of electrolysis on each arm (total of 10 hours) for full clearance.
Thanks!
A ‘full growth’ after waxing/epilating isn’t actually present at 6-8 weeks.
How long you wait depends on your electrologist If your electrologist wants to work on anagen hairs, then you should probably go back every 4 weeks to clear up anything that has come through. If your electrologist is confident in treating telogen hairs as well, then you can wait 3 months before your second clearance.
A question - how long after your last epilating session did you start electrolysis?
Thank you for the reply, stoppit&tidyup! Unfortunately, since I will be moving soon, I will not be able to return to my current electrologist. So the decision to start my next session is up to me.
What do you suggest? Wait three months, or go over four weeks?
To answer your question, It has been about 2 months since I last epilated.
Thanks!
The answer is still the same - ask the new electrologist.
If he/she prefers to treat anagen hairs, they will want to see you regularly to treat hairs as soon as they appear. If he/she can treat any kind of hair effectively then after 3 months is okay.
