Observation:
Before the frontal zone, this young woman had Electrolysis in the upper lip, she was concealing her forehead with a brushed very slightly favouring stranger (I was thinking that it was a new mode), until she showed me her forehead, then I understood the reason of that strange form of hairdo.
The work of raising the hairline is over. The size of the forehead of this girl is for the standard established by the universal canons. I have been careful not to produce a male pattern (as Michael Bono warns in his book)…

The first suggestion (again according to the notes of the book) is to let a few thin hairs at the beginning of the line. The problem is that kind of hair was too far from the new line…

Muchas gracias JMISR, sí, el acné casi ha desaparecido, pero sería injusto atribuirme el mérito. Supongo que han sido los saludables aires de Escocia (mi cliente ha pasado allí los últimos días para practicar el inglés).
A mi entender, el peinado que lucía esta adolescente para ocultar su frente hace un año, no ayudaba mucho.
El uso de fijadores plásticos para mantener el cabello sujeto y un gran complejo que aumentaba su ansiedad y su tendencia a la autolesión (solo en la frente), y ya tenemos el cóctel perfecto para desarrollar brotes de acné en esta bella y aplicada joven.
Sigo atentamente sus escritos y tengo que admitir que en más de una ocasión, me han sorprendido gratamente. Leer a un/a médico decir que los anticonceptivos son una solución temporal y pasajera en el tratamiento del hirsutismo es, cuanto menos, algo excepcional y digno de un verdadero experto en la materia.

Es 105 grados aquí en Colón, pero es más caliente en Washington DC, no sé si me lo esencial (guiño, guiño). La ola de calor con la humedad es agobiante. Todas las personas diablo dando vueltas me encanta este clima. va a pasar como la mayoría de las cosas hacer.

Exquisite perfection as usual Josefa. Congratulations on another masterpiece. I love doing this type of cosmetic work. I had an unusual case a few months ago, of a male who had sucessful laser several years before, and it was so unnaturally straight and square that hairdressers were commenting. I did some feathering over about three sessions, in the space of a couple of weeks and advised him to return in 4 to 5 months for another session but he has as yet not returned. He may be satisfied already, but I needed some finer regrowth in order to be able to remove more of the thicker hairs. I really hope he returns because I was enjoying the new challenge.

If Ethel Rifkin was able to do this magnificent work during the middle of last century, with her limited means, just imagine what can we do today. With any luck, within a few decades, the Electrolysis will still exist and the “Ritas” of succeeding generations will not have to hide her forehead with hideous hairstyles.
Gracias, Josefa, por las cálidas palabras (por favor, ¡tutéame!). En realidad el tema del hirsutismo y la eliminación del cabello no es tratado bien en los estudios de medicina, por lo menos en EEUU. Mi conocimiento proviene de experiencia personal.
Sí, es lamentable que muchos suelan prescribir anticonceptivos para el hirsutismo. Como sabes, es también cuestión de tiempo—resulta más fácil darle al paciente una prescripción en los pocos minutos que hay. Me estoy desenamorando de las terapias farmacéuticas por dicha razón. Quizás es mi corta edad.
Igualmente, me ha sorprendido gratamente tu pericia en la anatomía y la terminología de medicina. Seguro que lo has aprendido mejor que muchos médicos.
