A important question of lasor hair removal for me

  1. How should I prepare for treatment and what should I expect afterwards?

You should not be waxing or removing hair with the root with any other method for at least 6 weeks before your first treatment and throughout the course of treatment because the hair needs to be in place to be targeted by laser.

I am a asian guy.
I wanna to remove my horrifying thick beard hair…
I used to tear them out unless it look really strange for asian.
If i teared part of them out, is it just reduce the efficiency of the treatment, or other harms to it?
Thank you so much.

Pulling out your hair by any means that one can pull out hair, will make it so the hair is NOT AVAILABLE FOR TREATMENT.
How can one shoot at a target if there is no physical target to see? You will have to shave or clip if you commence with laser treatments. After your laser treatment, you will have to wait for shedding to occur. For a man’s beard, you may look patchy. This won’t be easy, but it may give a percentage of reduction that will make shaving much easier.

thank you, i just want my beard hair look thinner and less dense
As i have the in-grown hair problem, it look really…not good

But what do you mean NOT AVAILABLE FOR TREATMENT??
I understand the follicle won’t be affected by laser if there is no hair, but will it be harmful?

Actually, i’m going to remove part of them and let them look a little less dense before the treatment. i know it is silly, but it is not nice to work… THANKS

Not Available for Treatment means, if the hair is removed, there is no color (dark, black coarse hair) for the laser to “see” and heat up (destroy). How can you kill a hair that is not there?
Nothing will be harmed because nothing was there.

Removing some hair by pulling them out is counterproductive, but I think you are doing this because you do not want all the hair affected??? Don’t worry, even if you didn’t pull out certain hairs, laser can only reduce the amount of hair that is growing at each session. I would leave them alone and let laser take you where it takes you.

i was worrying if laser give adverse effect on the growing hair(but still beneath the skin), I’m afraid they can’t shed out normally or other problem???

haha, nono, it’s just it don’t look normal if i don’t remove part of them. My in-grown beard problem is quite serious(caused by wrong shaving method when young)…People always wondered why i didn’t shave even i just shaved…I think it is particular apparent for asian.

I really hate that… i have suffered that for several years
It made me less and less confident to go out…
