A GIRL from the NETHERLANDS!

I am a 19 year old female with excessive hair growth all over. I have gotten my hormones tested and no hormonal imbalance has been found even tough I have irregular periods. I have been tested for PCOS but the cysts I have are in the normal range. However, the doctors do not exclude a sensitivity to normal amounts of androgen.

After reading on this forum for over a month I decided to start with electrolysis on the entire face. I will go an hour every week and my electrologist uses flash thermolysis. I have already had 4 hours with her and she has removed everything she could remove with a .6, .5, and .4 needle.

Besides that I am planning on getting electrolysis on the lower back, spine, butt, stomach and chestbone. How I thank god that I am petite! :o My plan is to travel abroad for this as electrolysis is not a popular practice here in the Netherlands and I do not want to make this an endless journey. There is nowhere here I can turn to for marathon sessions, let alone seek for the clear & wait method.

I understand as my hair is possibly partly hormonal I will need touch ups later in life. I want to learn to DIY to perform my own touch ups - for me this is more convenient. Also, my mother has agreed on learning it so she can do my touch ups. I could also ask a friend, that is no problem. Too bad my sister is afraid of needles.

I would like to ask if this sounds like a fair plan or would it be wise to consider something else?

And how I tried to make it a short post, there is so much more I wanted to share!

I will add pictures later on as well.

Just a question: Your electrologist does a good job, doesn’t she? (Flash with thick needles is something only relatively few electrologists seem to do)

So did You talk with her on giving You more time?

Do You plan to continue the facial treatment with her?

Nederland wat bin je noog mooi …

Can’t find a marathon electrologist? Where are all my “students” in the Netherlands? (Maybe all using lasers?) Where is "Jana, Draha, Uta, Ginny, and all my “kids?”

Where are you in Nederland? Near Utrecht I can give you a recommendation. (Maybe Alkmaar too.)

@ beate

I had no idea it is not common to use flash with thick needles. Is there a reason why?

I am not sure on how good of a job she does. I do not feel I am seeing her long enough to tell. I do get scabs and even some pitting but as long as it will fade I am happy. Unfortunately my electrologist cannot handle more than a hour physically.

Out of the electrologists I have seen I liked her the most. One did only plucking, another could only give me half hour a week and another even recommended me to do laser.

@ Micheal

Don’t you have any plans on visiting het mooie Nederland?

Unfortunately indeed laser seems all there is here. If it wasn’t for an armenian friend of mine I would not even know electrolysis existed. I hear electrolysis is really big in Armenia?

I am located in the capital city, Amsterdam. Not for away from both Utrecht and Alkmaar.

I lived at Herengracht 81 (the red brick house built in 1590) with the family of Dr. Lamaker - plastic surgery, (who invited me to Holland in the first place). I stayed in the top attic. It was a “living antique” (snow came in the room, in the Winter!) … I found it on Google!

When I left Holland, all the schools taught electrolysis and all the beauty therapists did electrolysis. The Dutch insurance paid for all electrolysis work on a woman’s face. I don’t know what happened? I know Romano Scavo is still involved, but moved to Denmark … new GF (maybe he gave up too?).

If you PM me, I will give you Roy Blokker’s phone number (in A’dam). His dad was the guy that introduced blend-electrolysis in Holland (with me); died in a car crash 5 years ago. Maybe “Baby Blokk” will take over? He’s a “carbon copy” of his dad. I still have a little “fight” in me and would be happy to see A’dam again! Maybe we can have “the last conference.” I know all my old students would love to get together. I’ll talk to Roy. Need to get some Roggebrod … don’t have it here! Gott Allemachtig!

^You did great work Michael but sadly Electrolysis has faded in Holland. Few years ago you recommended me a Dutch lady who was supposed to be one of the best in the country but even she recommended me to laser treatments. Laser dominates the market here lol.

And Sensee great that you found somebody. 30 to 60 minutes of treatment is all I can find nearby and that isn’t even in Holland, it’s close to the border in Germany. It just isn’t practical so I had to go overseas as well.
