This one hurt a lot… even though the settings were the same as the last few. I think the anesthetic was wearing off when we started because I had been waiting for a while. I literally had tears streaming down my face for about the last 10 minutes of treatment, and 15 minutes after.
It also seemed to be VERY effective though, with quite a few hairs (maybe 15-20) actually coming all the way out on their own by the time treatment was done (which I’ve never had happen before). My face was pretty much hair free externally before treatment (I shaved yesterday), so this really amazes me, they were over a milimeter in length, maybe 3, and somehow pushed themselves all the way out (and were just stuck to my face because it was sticky from the gel on my face).
Anyone have any thoughts? I was reading a bit about the Alexandrite lasers, and since I have white skin and black hair, I’m sort of wondering why I’m on an ND:YAG laser. The doctor (this is in China, mind you) said that the 1064nm lasers are stronger and have better results. But now I wonder if maybe she’s just basing that off her resuts on asian people (who have darker skin).
They do also have a Gentlelase, so I’m only on the Coolglide because she thinks its better…
