Hello All on HairTell
I’ve been reading for sometime on this wonderful, knowledgeable forum and I do come back here when I’m losing hope and the stories and advice give me the boost to carry on!
My story so far:
Chin hair driving me potty!!! and a few odd ones either side of my smile.
How was I treating them before I started the journey? plucking and waxing, from the age of 16… until one morning I realised I was plucking hairs far too much. (age 46! lol)
March 17th I started my journey into electrolysis, my first appointment was for 6 minutes.
I have now continued with weekly appointments, sometimes they are 10 minutes and the most has been 16 minutes.
I have left well alone, I am able to let them grow in the week before treatments thank goodness, although I must admit very depressing to see them and I do kinda hideaway from my husband as I don’t feel very attractive if I get caught in the light.
The electrologist I see (is that the right name?)has been in the business 30 years and is very thorough, kind and gentle hands. She uses the Blend method.
So, as my appointments are only on average 10 mins a week, I guess I’ve had about 3 hours so far work.
Now then, I have seen another electrologist when my lady has not been available, and she showed me the hairs she’d treated. Some had roots and some didn’t?
I would like to ask what this actually means? as in the roots on some and not others?
I’m sorry I cannot provide piccies, do not have a mobile phone capable of doing that.
A little info on health too. I have multiple sclerosis and probs some of it does effect the pituitary etc… but I am a very healthy weight for my height of 1001lbs, regular on the monthlies, and follow a restrictive? m.s diet. I take an anti-cancer treatment too and have done for 5 years now. I don’t know if thats cause excess hair? the m.s? but at the end of the day… doesn’t matter… as long as it gets treated and I end up hair free.
Thank you for reading this, some of the journeys on here have been incredible!!!
Big Smiles to You All
B.
