i have 4-5 darker hairs on earlobe id like to get rid of. will go to consulation in a couple months, but waiting maybe they fall our or something. anyway how long and how much would this cost? also will it stimulate further hair growth on my ear?
Hi FEAR,
-
In 140 years of electrolysis, there is no documentation of hairs being stimulated by electrolysis … not happening, “forget about it.”
-
If you are male (I’m assuming you are), get used to it, because you will be growing in new ear hairs for the rest of your life. Yes, kill the ones already there if you wish … but, in a year or two there will be new ones. (Look at the ears of a 30-year-old and then the ears of an 80-years-old. The super hairy old man ears did not grow in over night: it took decades.)
Just be glad you’re not a woman who’s starting to grow a few CHIN hairs, because these suckers don’t stop growing in either! “Under control” yes! … stop the growth of new hormone-stimulated hairs? Not possible.
exactly look at 30 year olds, super clear earlobes, im only 22.
also but tweezing stimulates hair growth, so how is electrolysis different?
Okay … so, you are “ahead of the game!” Lucky you!
Tweezing will make that tweezed hair bigger, stronger and screwed-up. It will not make other hairs grow in.
Electrolysis KILLS the follicle and removes the hair forever.
personal exprience says otherwise about tweezing, 3 months ago for fun i tweezed a cheek hair and 2 new black ones grew right next to it.
but any how, how many treatments/length will it takes for 4 hairs?
Okay, if you are CERTAIN that “2 new hairs grew back from tweezing one hair” let me just say this:
Do NOT do electrolysis!!!
Please, do yourself and the electrologist a favor. Just cut the damned things and be happy. Check back in when you are 30.
can someone please answer my questions and not insult me…?
how many treatments/length will it take for 4-6 hairs?
4 - 6 hairs is a 5-minute treatment …
And then?
Have you tweezed in the past? If not 1-2 5 minute treatments will get rid of them. However if you are male there is a high possibility you will grow more in the coming years, therefore more electrolysis perhaps a tidy up every year.
I recently finished treatment on a 65 year old male of Persian descent who had been getting his ears tweezed and threaded from his teenage years by his sister and aunt. It was actually his GP who recommended electrolysis as he was having difficultly examining the ear canal due to the density of hair, initial it took 2 hours to clear around this clients ears.
If you can’t get electrolysis by all means cut the hair back but don’t start tweezing.
i never touched the hair, see i think it might have just grown in due to my dietary changes, in july i started a 1400-1800 calories diet eating mainly bad food, i quit the diet in end of september. the hairs started in august. so idk it might have been some hormonal changes not sure.
but i mean if more will grow in than i should get rid of these as if more grow in than itll just look hairier haha.
I am assuming you are male men get more hairs as they get old what you are seeing is natural and normal, if anymore hair grows from electrolyisis its because you are getting older not because of the electrolyisis itself.
Every man like every women is different some get more than others, but in your 20’s you will see a growth in the amount of facial and perhaps ear hair you have.
This is why michaels comment on leaving it until your after 30 isn’t necessary at bad one.
