You can ask where would $2,000 get you with LASER hair reduction as well. Why don’t people ask that question? Laser is not that easy or predictable as far as reaching your hair removal goals. You are gambling and hoping that you get what you paid $2,000 for.
Electrolysis is technically harder to do and the amount of hair removed is highly dependent on the the equipment used, the skill and stamina of the electrologist. Modality used determines price, too. If a man’s back has 60,000 hairs and the electrologist is using blend at a rate of 8 seconds per hair as opposed to PicoFlash or MicroFlash thermolysis at a rate of 10-12 hairs per minute, those variables are going to cost one less or more in the long run. Do you see why we can’t answer how long? how much? questions with any serious preciseness. Likewise, laser specialists can’t guarantee you reduction percentages and satisfaction guarantee’s for the $2,000 package either.
If I were a man with a hairy back, I would put my time, money and effort into the modern electrologist that has invested in an epilator that can do MicroFlash or PicoFlash thermolysis in autosensor mode with a great magnification aid so she/he can SEE the hairs in groups and tackle them. If he or she will tackle this with you in 2 hour or more sessions, you are going to get somewhere substantial. The more hair you have, the longer the sessions should be until you get a first, full clearance. Men’s backs are not easy for either party, but electrolysis works if the plan of attack for the amount of hair you have is correct.
Any electrologist that shrinks away and expresses negativity at such a large task, probably has not set herself up for success for doing large areas. One needs a powerful epilator with the best modes of thermolysis and the electrologist needs to fly away in auto sensor mode using the largest probe possible. I stand by what I say because I have done this. I know James has as well. The client must understand the meaning of patience and be doggedly goal-oriented for about 14 months to 24 months. It will cost thousands of dollars. If I really had to take a guess, I would say somewhere under $8,000 for most men, depending on the amount of hair, depending on whether the electrologist is using the faster forms of thermolysis. I have seen two men’s backs that are out of this realm of guesstimating, meaning every one of their follicles seemed to have a thick hair growing out of it from neckline to beltline. Treating these men would take longer than two years and would cost more.
Sorry so long.
