$1800 for Fischer SE-5?

Hi All,

First time posting, hope it’s under the right forum. After lurking on these forums for a while, I’ve decided to give DIY electrolysis a try. I have Hinkel’s book, Electrolysis, Thermolysis and the Blend, and Michael Bono’s The Blend Method.

I have started looking for a machine and contacted Dr. Heimlich at Texas Electrolysis Supply. He quoted me $1800 for a Fischer SE-5. It took me by surprise at how expensive it was. So, I guess I was just looking for everyone’s opinion as to whether this seemed like a fair price.

it should have been surprising. It’s pretty much highway robbery. Similar machine sell on kijiji regularly for under $200. Mind TES will have serviced and calibrated the machine, thus the cost, but even at that $1800 is plenty steep .
