15 treatments in still not much difference😭 HELP!

Hey guys I’m on my 15th treatment around my nipples and lower stomach area and I still don’t see much difference. The woman treating me even commented that sometimes she feels like its working but other times she’s not so sure and that maybe my hairs are just too stubborn. She wants me to do laser and I said NO! As I’ve gotten laser treatments before in this area and they reduced hair by a lot but I know that I have to finish with electrolysis.

I asked the place to change technicians and they said ok, but now I’m not sure if this place sucks or what😐 I’m in Miami and have looked around for good Electrologists but there don’t seem to be any! They all just want to do laser! The place I go to is a spa type place and while I like it, I don’t want to continue going if its not going to help!

I’m 27, male, skin type 3. If any of you have any suggestions on what I should do or know any good places in Miami please let me know. I want to treat my back as well as I have my strands of dark hairs growing there too but I want to go to a good place. Its frustrating because I want to be one of those success stories, I even thought about moving because this is something I really wanna get done. Any help is greatly appreciated! Also someone please explain difference between blend, thermolysis, etc… And which one I should be getting treated with if possible

I can name the place of the spa if that’s needed, just not sure if that’s allowed here.

Florida (if the laws have not changed) is sort of an odd case. Okay … “Welcome to Florida!”

Laws in Florida, to perform laser, require the technician to be an electrologist. (I sell a lot of books to Florida, by the way). There is a TON of money to be made doing laser: it takes no time and the fees are “up there.”

So the person planning to do laser goes to school and “sort of learns electrolysis” … but mainly focuses on doing laser. So, yeah, as you say, “They all just want to do laser!”

Oh, your electrolysis experience so far? … IT SUCKS! (That’s the medical term for it.)

Oh, and another thing … to get the conversation “rolling!”

There is no such thing as a “Stubborn Hair!”

BLEND OR THERMOLYSIS is about energy and skill. If the proper level of energy is used and the practitioner inserts the proper size probe accurately into the follicle to deliver that energy, the hair follicle will be disabled. For accuracy sake, there are no stubborn hairs for a highly skilled electrologist. We say “stubborn” sometimes when the hair won’t budge, but we do get it to release, with a little more effort.

Electrolysis is MUCH MORE TECHNICALLY DIFFICULT to do than laser. That’s probably why laser is pushed over electrolysis in many areas. Laser offers a higher paycheck, too, so you can imagine why it is attractive to spa businesses. If you can find a person who is proficient and confident at doing both modalities, then you have struck hair removal gold.

I don’t know how much hair you had around your areola’s. I don’t know other details of your hair removal story in that area? Hair growth cycles fool people into thinking there is no end in sight. if you are getting cleared every single time and you feel no pulling or traction when the treated hair is lifted out, those are good signs that you are moving in the right direction.
