Should I continue treatments?

Mine is on 9 mm. Hopefully Johnsheff’s was too but I have a feeling that his was on the superior spot size.

Alllright 9 weeks post treatment #4 and this time I’m starting to see better results than before.

I always had 10 week intervals for the treatments but how about if i wait 12 weeks this time? i just wanna see how much more hair grows out…

im having a really hard time deciding if i wanna go for one more treatment. i started in late november last year. i almost have had a year round treatmens by now which is good right?

anyway, im kinda happy cause i finally feel like it’s working.
thanks a lot you guys.

Couldn’t agree more, and this goes for a lot of aspects of information these days – not just hair removal related. And, yeah, I’m sort of confused as I learn on hair removal, currently dumping a relatively small bit of change into it myself.

Oh!
Your hand is very similar mine! I have a bit more hairs I think.

I have had a full clearance with electrolysis.
It would be very intereseting to compare results after a few months!

Hope you are well

whatsup boy1989. cool that you’re getting electrolysis on your hands. it will be interesting how that goes for you.

i had my 5th treatment a week ago.
heres what it looked like 4 months after my 4th treatment

definitely less but its just not as noticeable anymore.

If I were you, I wouldnt continue laser anymore… Waste of money like I see on the pictures. And you dont have that much hair on hands, it looks good to me.

I dont think this is good results after 4 treatments of laser.
I have had many laser treatments, not on my hands, but on the rest of my upper body. After the treatments you think you have got good results and it seems like less hairs. But in reality the hairs are still present and will appear again. I think this is very phycological, and the laser clinique contributes to this.
My experience is that after some months all the hairs grow back, and you can even get more hairs than you had initially.

I think you will be very dissapointed if you do more treatments. The laser company will always say “you need one more treatment”, this will never stop I think.
I had 10 treatments of the same IPL, and they wanted me to have more. I had 5 treatments with another laser (Alexandrite) and they wanted me to do more… (the same with a Diode laser)
I say: STOP now, and search for a good electrologist.
You will then be finished! NO more “just one more session”.

I have uploaded pictures of my hand below.
The two first photos are without electrolysis, just a bit of waxing several moths before treatment.

The next two photos are taken 2 weeks after full clearing of electrolysis.

The system used was picoflash and Laurier probe 002, short.

I have been so lucky to get all my money back that I spendt on the 10 IPL treatments. This happend because of hairtell.
I was recommended to visit one electrologist in Norway, by Michael Bono. She helped me to get all of the money back.
I am now being treated by an amazing electrologist, and this is her work. I consider my self very lucky

Nah I don’t agree. To target all the hair cycles you need to have atleast 6 treatments from a real laser. IPL is complete crap most of the time. It’s awesome that you can get electrolysis now as opposed to weak IPL. And 6 months after your last treatment is when you have a good enough indication if any of it is permanent.

I think that if I truly wasted my time and money all the hair would have grown back in the 4+ months after my 4th treatment. But it’s a bit less hair and much less noticable now. My hair isn’t the most suitable for laser so I think I got something out of it. I just had my 5th treatment and it’s still shedding now. i’ll keep this updated to see where it goes. my goal was to get a permanent reduction and i hope i accomplished that.

I don’t think it’s much of a reduction given it’s been 4 treatments. If they are spaced correctly and aggressive enough, 3-4 are enough to get through all the hair cycles. The hair just looks too fine.

boy - Your skin looks amazing! The before looked fine too imo. The real thing to show will be in three months from now - we know how that’s going to look

But do you think it will be such a huge difference from the 5th to the 6th treatment?
The most logical is that there is a certain progression.
Many laser cliniques dont seem to understand this…

Im just trying to help, because I have been in your shoes.

May I ask how much time and money you have invested in your treatments so far?
It is your choice and your money.
Like Stoppit says 1 year is enought time for all the hairs to have been treated in anagen at least one time.

Thank you Stoppit. Yes Im very excited to see in a few months

4 treatments weren’t enough. I was treated every 10 weeks from the start of December 2010 to late June 2011 in total of 4 times. That’s just 7 months for 4 treatments. the thing is though i messed up the scheduling for my 5th treatment. i think you helped me out with this a couple weeks ago remember?

I think I said the same thing then… that 3 treatments were enough for me (and others) in most areas. I was only pointing out that you don’t need a course of specifically 6 to get through all the hair cycles.

I don’t think you messed up scheduling much. 4 months is 17 weeks ish, I expect most of the hair is still in anagen. I wouldn’t expect much purely because you haven’t had a huge reduction in the 4 treatments you have already had. After the 5th, you may want to consider electrolysis for further reduction which will certainly get you results… there will be no guesswork providing you go to someone skilled.

I’ve never heard anywhere that 3 treatments of laser are enough to get trough the hair cycles. I wish it were true lol.

You know I’ve been thinking. my first 2 treatments were with the soprano xl single pulse mode and i had incomplete shedding. i now had 3 treatments with lightsheer diode a more proven laser. maybe i wasted money on the first 2 but not the rest. oh btw boy1989 to answer your question i’ve spend about more than 400 bucks.

I do wish i had done electrolysis but i couldnt find someone as good as people like James, Josie, Michael Bono etc. so i thought hey i might be better off with laser. both financially too.

Boy1989 - those are really impressive results on your hands. Have you documented your electrolysis journey somewhere? I would like to read it to find out things like how much time it took to do a full clearance on your hands.

Also, I would love to see how it has been blended into the rest of the hair on your arms, and how natural this looks given that your hands are now completely hairless?

Why would boy go from very hairy male looking hands to hairless female looking hands? I thought the idea behind electrolysis was that it could be targeted and blended to make a natural looking effect? Like Jason said, I would be interested in seeing the rest of the arm.

I haven’t documented my electrolysis journey on hairtell, but I think I will. Now I have had my first clearing of electrolysis on almost all of my upper body (including neck, half of the beard on my front neck and some hairs on face) plus feet, and for the second clearing I will add buttocks and legs. So almost all of the body will be treated with electrolysis.
I think the results will be spectacular and hairtell should see it. The title of my story would be:
Success of electrolysis, after several failures of laser.

I think it took 90 minutes for each hand and fingers. So 3 hours for both hands.

Im going to have electrolysis on all of my arms, but I want some hairs on the middle part of my arms.
I want to remove all hairs from upper arms (3 clearings), have some on the middle of my arms (maybe only 1 clearing) and remove all on my hands (3 clearings).
Maybe have 2 clearings on an area between hands and start of upper arms to make it blend and look as natural as possible.

Hey Johnson, you are quite confused with the information you have. Indeed, 3 clearances are needed to finish with 99% of hairs in the area with Electrolysis, not because we have to repeat the same hair, nor because we have to kill the same hair in each phase.

[/quote]

I said three clearances to eliminate 99% of the hairs? sorry I was wrong, they were not three but two.

7 months after the second clearance.

Before Electrolysis, after 5 laser sessions:
