Questions about the cost of Electrolysis?

I’m so self conscious about it, lots of the hairs ARE blonde and unoticable but there are black one on the outside of my nose that are quite visible if we are having a conversation. I really dont hink there are 1000 to 2000 hairs that need to be removed.

Electrolysis removes about 5-10 hairs per minute. It sounds like for you this would be a quick fix. Of course, you’ll have to come in over the course of a year or so since you have more hair than what is showing at any one time due to hair growth cycles. But still, this would be an easy fix for your nose.

Ah, but what you are not looking at, is that the number of hairs to be removed must be counted based on total hairs removed over the course of the treatment.

If one had perfectly simple hair growth numbers (and no one does) one would have 200 visable hairs to remove. These would be replaced by 200 more in the next growth cycle, and then again in the next. So, in the simplest full gowth cycle possible, 200 hairs becomes 600 hairs total to remove over the course of the year to attain Full Final Clearance. Then there are the hairs that you don’t consider visable UNTIL we remove the big thick ones, and you start focusing on the next level of noticeability.

That is where the other 400 hairs over the course of your year long growth pattern comes from.

ladies and gentlemen again. i want to thank you for the information. i must admit that i simply won’t have the $$$$ to do what is being talked about for a few years. unfortunately i will have to stick with tendskin and my bump fither razor. and just exfoliate so that i can reduce razor bumps and the keloid scars.

but i want to say thanks to all of you. its really hard for me. i now see what women go thru. just imagine what its like for the young girl/woman who has a hair problem like this and can’t afford to get this type of stuff done. it must be downright awful.

for me its all about looking forward to the day that the money will come together. i also accept that it will take 2-3 years to get it all done even at that point

i’m african-american male and after i shave i look close to this. not exactly this bad but close to this. and it really hurts ones self confidence. when you look like this as a man. you don’t exactly feel confident in yourself, especially around the opposite sex.

and tend skin helps REDUCE the PFB bumps by DRYING them up but entirely ridding myself of PFB bumps. but the side-affect is a sort of acid reaction so my neck, jaw, cheek bone gets a-little flaky from the tend skin.

i’ve heard that using a cream can help with flaking and exfoliating and tweezing can help the the in-growns but i’ll be forced to do this until the day comes.

but the information you dudes have shared with has created some light at the end of the tunnell.

beauty truly does cost money. life stinks!

If your case is almost as bad as this guy’s, you can REALLY benefit from good Yag laser treatments and it won’t be that expensive, relatively. You can probably get 3-4 treatments over the course of 8 months or so and see a huge improvement. And that would cost under $1K, more like $600-800.

Where are you located? The most important thing is finding someone experienced with your skin type. And they MUST have a Yag laser.

Your situation can be solved but you need to find someone who knows what they are doing, and does it well. You also need to be consistent with your treatment.

i live in silver spring, maryland. even at that it would still be too much $$$ for me now. i feel bad because there was a time where i had that type of money available but at that point i didn’t even know what electrolysis was. but i thank you all for the information.

wow. james. you seem like a nice guy. WHEN the time comes i just might get an appointment a plane ticket see you. you’re up in Buffalo, NY?

is lagirl right about the YAG laser thing?

Before I paid money to visit me for hair removal, if I were you, I would check out http://www.iamhairfree.com and maybe visit

If after your FREE consultations and FREE sample treatments with them, you want to check Niagara Falls off your, “Been There, Done That” List, come on and visit me for a full clearance.

Some people have wonderful reductions utilizing LASER, and in a case like yours, if the hair stopped ingrowing, that would be enough for you to have positive change. My worry for you getting LASER treatment would be the fact that those with naturally high pigment skin are at greater risk for complications from LASER treatments. So in your case, the roll of the dice would have extra odds stacked against you.

I don’t know Sally personally, but I know enough to say with confidence that she is a modernly equipped electrologist who knows what the heck she is doing and would serve you well. Anyone living in the Frederick, Maryland area would be doing something good for themselves by giving Sally a call if they need a professioanl electrologist. I would like to pay her a visit when I go to Washington, D.C. in the near future, that is, if she is available to see me.

If you can’t afford $600 spread over 8 months, you definitely can’t afford electrolysis as it’s about $60-100 per hour and you’ll likely need at least a few clearances, which means a lot more than $600, and you’d need to have the money more often.
