Hi! Please help!
Im in the UK and we have a major laser hair removal provider here with clinics across the country. Some reviewers online said they deliberately set the machine too low.
I signed up for 10 sessions of YAG 1064 nm, full body.
Im South Asian (Indian) with quite light skin and very black hair.
Are the settings below too low? If i ask for higher am I risking burning/ injuring my skin? I noticed prickling. stinging in some areas but im fine with pain as its over quickly so the higher Fluence isnt a problem for me from that perspective, I just dont want skin damage.
Fluence : 10 J/cm2, next session was 11
Duration: 10ms
Rate : 2Hz
I do have sensitive skin generally speaking but had no issues on any part of my body except on my back only (never removed hair from there so shaved first time, next day laser) i experienced itchy spots. They said to use Laser Aid but i couldnt get to clinic so now post session 2 i’ll be using aloe vera. if i experience issues i’ll buy the laser aid.
