Part II: Laurier

Did you know that the IBP Laurier was used in some tests by Dr. Schuster?
In the DVD “Thermolysis” we can see a comparison of the pattern of heat with another insulated needle “Precision” and with a bare needle.
The images are very revealing and explaining why I fell in love with Laurier probe from the first minute. Schuster does not reveal the name of the needle which he used in the test until near the end of the DVD, but I recognized the tip of the needle from the start, and I could recognize it between a million probes.

A few days later…
The area has been shaved once since the first and only session.

WOW!

Great work Josefa!

Thanks Mumbaigirl.
I am determined to prove that something as insignificant as a simple needle, can make a big difference.
Working in this beard with roots deeper than I’ve seen in my life has been easy with the IBP.
Oh my God, if he let me, I would remove every single hair on his face, because it is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, the hairs prevent seeing with all its fullness.

3 days later…

I wish I could fly to Spain and get electrolysis treatments from you!

I feel very honored Mumbaigirl. If I’m going to cross half the world to see my friends Hairtell, why do not you?
Great adventures await us, dear.

Each day I am more surprised by the needle Laurier.
I did a little test in the beard of a client. He is very prone to develop seborrheic dermatitis.
The session was made last Friday at 21:00 H.

61 hours later, you do not know my needle and I were there.

You know what, my friend? My biggest problem getting referrals from my female clients is that when they tell people about the great work that I have done, their friends say, “But you don’t have a problem with hair” and my clients say, “That’s the point. I don’t ANYMORE!”

Unfortunately, no one believes them unless they have pictures to prove it, and we have already talked about the fact that no one wants to take before pictures, UNTIL AFTER they no longer can grow enough hair to show how far we have come.

Well I think we might be seeing a revival James. With the failure of Laser for facial hair in particular, many people are turning to alternatives and then it’s electrolysis that comes up.

Offline, our work has inspired a number of family and friends to pursue electrolysis. I actually promised one of my colleagues that I will accompany her to a consultation as soon as I have time.

Now all we need is more skilled electrologists.

And possibilities to achieve these skills in a relatively short time while keeping the doors open for “Quereinsteiger” (people who need to start from the beginning somewhere in the mid of their lifes)

Beate, some people start on this much sooner, yet unfortunately, they fail to master the art even though 20 years have passed. Your dedication, your curiosity and your prudence, are a much more valuable weapons to deal with this difficult, hard and beautiful craft.

I need to clear something up for the readers here. Thanks to a rare name, google is kind to us. However it also brings up our distributors in the search results. Texas Electrolysis Supply has us listed in their link as “non disposable” this is NOT TRUE. The Probe is as disposable as any other brand. It is extremely durable and can withstand repeated exposure to sterilization temperatures, these are things I cannot change without sacrifice of function. Re-use has not been the custom in this country for decades. I have asked repeatedly that this be corrected without results. I wanted to clear that up for those who may be reading this and the search results through a translation program.

Also I’m pleased to let everyone know that the Electrolysis Institute of New England and their supply side, Associated Health & Beauty Products, now include the IBP in their product line. Mary has taught about the Probe for a very long time and she can now offer it to her graduates and customers.

An observation. The thicker the hair, the more striking is the absence of reaction on the surface of the skin. There was swelling for 3 days (I could see my client each day during the last 3 weeks) because we work in other areas of the body.

Can this be anymore perfect for skin outcome? This clients skin looks like nothing happened, but we know big things happened in the silent underworld of the hair follicle. Well designed probes do matter.

I forgot to say that the hair slipped out of the follicle like butter. As long as hair length will allow me, I have done without the tweezers to remove most of them.

Pepa Rosell, if you are reading this here, please contact me again. There is a problem with the E-mail address you gave me and I am unsble to respond.

Boy1989 is a user of Hairtell. He made a long journey to achieve his goal, to be free of hair. He overcame his fear of flying and began an adventure away from home, family and friends. With admirable courage, he faced hours of electrolysis during the first 3 weeks last October. Now, Boy is back for further treatment, the results were predictable, but if someone continues to doubt that working in telogen is as effective, or more than working in anagen, a new evidence here. I have chosen the Laurier thread because the job in these areas was done with a IBP

I am glad you can produce these pics.
I had a female client who announced to me, “I Have Hobbit Feet! You have to help me!” We got the job done in no time, but she has never allowed me to show the pics.

Why? someone might recognize her? unless she has a birthmark or a tattoo, could be anyone’s feet. In fact I have problems if not immediately classify the photos because then I do not remember who owns the hands, feet, underarms, etc

Tattoos can be hidden or pixelated.

I do not seem very hairy feet, on the contrary, I think that Boy has less hair than most.

Thank you for the kind words my Josefa

Oh, how I love to see the before and after photos!
…and how I love electrolysis!

Best thing about these needles is on the underarms - the sting isn’t as bad as with normal needles. Otherwise, I have to admit, I don’t know if I’d be any wiser as to which needle was being used as they feel the same to me(I assume we still use regular needles on my arms? I can’t actually tell any more). I also think I was a bit over-enthusiastic about the Laurier needle and its effect on hyper-pigmentation. Scabs, regardless of how they form, always results in hyper-pigmentation on my skin. I assumed smaller scabs would equal less hyper-pigmentation. I don’t know if there has indeed been less as there are patches of my stomach that are darker. The pigmentation there is seems more extensive with every treatment (1 regular needle, 2 Laurier). I have more hyperpigmentation on my upper lip now than when I had my first clearance. However, this could just be because we are going over and over the same area of skin to target the same follicles multiple times and expanding the treatment area with every treatment. Point being, it’s hard to discern on a treatment-by-treatment basis what the extent of the effects are and whether it’s a direct consequence of a particular needle type or not.
