Newbie looking for LHR (MN)

I think that it depends on where you go for laser. To me laser is a medical procedure unlike waxing or a haircut where it’s common to tip. To me getting laser done is just like going to the doctors. I mean you can get laser done AT a doctors office or dermatologist office where you would never tip. On the flip side a doctor isn’t going to be doing waxing on you. I only seem to see the “tip” request when you’re going to a place that is a salon and does other services in addition to laser. My previous clinic does waxing as well so when you pay via debit it prompts if you want to add a tip and you can say yes or no. Since their price was so cheap and I loved my tech I’d usually give $5 or $10 but that’s it I wouldn’t give more than that. They also would never ask for a tip either. It’s similar to when you go to a restaraunt and order take out, it prompts if you want to add tip but that’s for the people that sat there and ate with a server. If you feel they deserve a tip or it warrants a tip then I would but certainly not a lot, I dunno though it’s hard to say really. I just feel that it’s not proper with laser since it’s traditionally a medical procedure…

Personally, I think LHR is a medical treatment where a tip shouldn’t be expected. It’s expensive enough. I view it more like an upscale cosmetic treatment such as Botox.

Waxing is a different story.

Quick update:
went for my second appt in the end of April. It was definitely still painful. But I applied plenty of cream to my bikini area and wrapped it up like a panty about an hour before the procedure and that definitely helped.
Did have some strays here and there afterwards but after missing a follow-up appointment decided to just wait until my appointment in July.

I have noticed some discoloration on my bikini and one underarm - some circles darker than the rest of my skin. Will those go away on their own or should I get something for skin lightening?

It will go away, but may take a few months. Tell your clinic. They may need to lower the settings slightly. And don’t get a tan on the area!
