Andrea, NoHair’s remarks are bordering on attacks. James’ comments were valid. This isn’t the first time in recent weeks this has happened.
Thank you for your concern. As the lighning rods of the site, Andrea and I are very used to being attacked. At conventions I get attacked in person. On this and other web sites, I have been slandered, and had my character assasinated.
Since most people are smart enough to read what has been written and make their own choice as to my motives, and the agenda of those who attack me, I have asked her to be slow to nuke someone just because one has a problem with me.
There was once a competing board on which someone placed a carefully worded post that was designed to accuse me of molesting female clients, while not naming me by name. It was then craftily followed by different screen names that said only things like, “Yeah, I heard something too.” The first responce by someone not in on this “Net Hit” was someone who demanded the origonal poster actually name a name. But then someone asked out loud why I was not responding to the charge even though I had answered numerous questions that day.
This prompted a professional model, who was not only my client, but had had her most recent treatment in the 30 days prior to this attack to viciously rip into the jerks including the information of where I had performed treatments on her professionally maintained Victoria’s Secret body, and just how professional I was, and ending with the final kick that she was positive that she was better looking than anyone attacking me, and that I had not even returned any of her actual advances. (Professional ethics you know) Her post gave information that I could not, nor would, and showed that those who actually do know me think pretty highly of me. Any client info on here is either in the abstract, or the particular client has given expressed permission for their actual details and pictures to be used.
In the end, the attackers only looked more foolish, and I never had to say a word.
I dispense information. In this exchange, I answered a person who asked how does a home user make PERFECT INSERTIONS and assure NO DAMAGE, and the best answer is, that if working at home, the best chance is with a partner. It always seemed too obvious that one needs to ask a few people to help you until you find one who is willing. That is true with everything from home repair, to backyard car repair. (even if it is just someone to hand you the tools)
I don’t know if NoHair expects me to start a post thread to join Home Users together and match them up, but the site is here, and anyone who wanted to do that would be perfectly able to do so with the click of a mouse. Maybe he expects me to take each Home User’s information and personally find them an electrolysis buddy. I don’t know.
Anyway, I like the good that NoHair contributes to the site, and if he thinks I am the posterior of a male donkey, I don’t mind.
Come on. James is the one who likes to distort things to make it sound like I’m attacking him. He says that I think he’s the posterior of a male donkey; I’ve never made any comments close to that effect. He’s made many rude comments throughout the various areas of this web site and while I’ve not used any rude language back. I do think he lacks maturity at times.
James has stated more than once that he is not in favor of the DIY forum and admits to trying to steer people away from DIY. I’ve tried to answer their questions instead and tried to keep the Pro’s from giving their one sided view that discourages many from DIY. Those that can do DIY don’t show up at the Pro’s office with scarring, they just never show up!
I’ve received PMs from people thanking me for the advice that helped them become successful DIYers. Obviously it’s possible that some people do have skills slightly better than trained chimpanzees.
OK, I give up. Let the Pro’s take over this forum. If trying to keep things in line is considered attacking, I’m not into fighting. I’m done trying to keep it as an educational DIY forum. I know I’ve had great success as a DIYer and I know others have too. I’ve done it without books, without partners, and pretty cheap equipment. It’s an amazingly satisfying experience to be able to permanently rid oneself of hair so easily. My experience of going to a Pro has been less fulfilling. But I make no money wasting my time here.
Bye, Bye. Go attack someone else. You win.
Doing it yourself is not the issue; administering effective treatment is.
Why encourage “do it yourself” electrolysis when one sees the no-results of it and the poor results of it and the tissue damage that results from it?
Encourage… what? Well, I encourage that should you want to do it yourself, visit a school in an unlicensed state and buy a machine and take a quickie course that might only take about 1 month. Then, do it yourself and then still, you might only be marginally skilled! Go for it babe!
I’m sorry when discussions deteriorate.
I believe at least two posters thanked you for your fabulous contributions, NoHair. If you desire not to post about DIY anymore, then some one else will fill in the slack.
I don’t know how many times one has to repeat their words about getting a book and getting a buddy to work and learn on. Book + Buddy…Buddy + Book. The words are simple and can hardly be contorted and don’t come close to an attack on you. A warning to the consumer about self- administered electrolysis is appropriate and kind.
I say all the time that I am happy that NoHair is here and thank him for his contributions.
I also never said that he ever called me a JackAss, I simply said IF he thinks that I am the posterior of a male donkey, that is ok.
