You have very good points, and I am aware of most of them.
I am not applying it large areas. In the instruction manual, a handful of foam is recommended at each application. I am not even using one fifth of that amount. So, side effects should not be a problem. Most side effects are rare, but itching and skin rash is common. I am not quite sure what they mean by skin rash, but I don’t think my condition qualify as skin rash caused by Minoxidil. So far, the only effect I felt was the heat rush exclusively happened on my second application.
From the link you gave: [color:#CC0000]Hands, and any other areas of the body where hair growth is not desired that may have come into contact with topical minoxidil, should be washed immediately after applying the minoxidil solution on the scalp… Unwanted hair growth may also occur adjacent to treated areas or in areas where the medicine has been inadvertently transferred several times. This unwanted hair growth adjacent to the treatment area may be particularly distressing to women when the face is involved.[/color] It has never been approved for other areas of body, however it is known to induce hair growth other than the scalp area.
You’re increasing blood flow to something that should by all counts be dead.
I don’t know if it is dead or not.
As an aside, Rogaine doesn’t show noticable regrowth any earlier than two months of treatment–and it can take up to a year.
I know. But, it takes time for hair to get longer and catch the eye, after it emerges out of the skin. So, if we say 3 months is required to notice regrowth with naked eye at a reasonable distance, I say 1 month should be enough to see if any hairs are coming out.
Anyway, I just want it to work. Call it a miracle or not, it would be fantastic.
