Makes sense, thanks!
8 weeks max? im confused. the FAQ section of this forum says 8-12 weeks. and the following chart says 2-3 months:
ok guys, i wondering if it will be ok to go in exactly 13 weeks after my 2nd treatment?
the center, has told me to go back end this month/beginning next by the way. but i dont think i can make it.
13 weeks not ok?
I treat my clients 6-8 weeks apart on the chest for the first 2-3 treatments. It depends on when your next growth cycle starts. A general rule of thumb is you want to get treated within two weeks of new growth. Pubic and Underarm hair respond generally the same with all clients but it gets tricky with other areas of the body. Especially for men.
It is difficult to give more than general advice since you are not a client of mine. With the pictures you posted, the hair looks like it has been growing for a while. I would go in for a treatment soon. Trust your practitioner.
Everyone has their own opinions based on their experience. In the past, laser manufacturers recommended treatments every 4-6 weeks, which has been denounced in the industry as incorrect in the last few years. Most of the practitioners on this forum recommend 8-12 week spacing for this area (and up to 14 weeks or so after a few treatments - which is in line with your 2-3 month estimate you found) and most consider treatments at anything less than 8 weeks only necessary on the face where the hair cycles are quicker.
Regardless, everyone is different. Just go in when you feel you have enough hair to treat. 65% sounds like you have enough to treat, but waiting until 13 weeks is also not going to hurt. Just don’t wait longer than 16 weeks as you risk the hairs getting out of the active growth phase. Basically, what you’re trying to do is treat the hair in their active (anagen) growth phase, and how long the hair stays in that phase varies by area. Also, hair gets darker and more coarse with time after it first appears, so that’s why waiting a bit further into the anagen period helps (because laser is attracted to pigment and coarse hair has more of it).
hi, sorry for the late reply somehow i was unable to log in with my phone to post a reply. ok i had my 3rd session yesterday exactly 9 weeks after the 2nd.
what i noticed this time is that it hurt slightly on 18j. its probably because i had less hair than the beginning i guess.
for my 4th treatment i will only be able to go exactly after 13 weeks.
thanks again everybody
