but is this a so-so price, or a great deal for these machines?
but is this a so-so price, or a great deal for these machines?
Without knowing all the details of the machines, I’d say they’re both pretty good deals - in line with or better than what we’ve seen on Ebay.

So what brand/source of binoculars would you guys recommend? the ones i see on google are frightningly expensive
For the do it yourselfer, would it not work to buy prescription glasses from Walmart or something like that? if we are not making it our live’s profession and we only need to “maintain” hairlessness as the years pass. what do you think?
I bought Edroy binocular loupes. $250 or thereabouts. Really decent ones (by Heine, for example) are $500. Edroy’s first generation binocular loupes are less than $100, but I don’t know how the quality compares to the $250 ones; Edroy assured me the new ones are much better.
The single lens loupes and reading glasses are not good for much, in my opinion. I think you need, at a minimum, real 2X magnification or better. The single lens systems, such as Wal-Mart reading glasses or loupes, don’t get real magnification beyond 1.1X or so - which isn’t much help. The problem with them is the lens is too close to the eye - if the lens were several inches from the eye, you’d get better results.
Hope that helps,
Eric
it does help. thank you very much! now i know to look for 2 or 3x or better magnification.
at this point i am looking to recommend something to my professional electrolysist, who is very good but is using super old magnification equipment and needs an update <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
NOT TO BUY:
Aavexx 300 Electrolysis Hair Removal System
Electrolysis Permanent Hair Removal Machine
this is that Global Elextrolysis Supply scammer that we have been talking about!
CONSUMER BEWARE!
I just won the Servo-Blend! I hope it’s easier to use than most machines b/c of the computer factor. But I’m confused as why Silhouette-Tone doesn’t make anymore while machines older than the Servo-Blend (like the Clareblend Mini-Blend) are selling for 1500 dollars. And by older, I mean the technology used. In today’s world, shouldn’t all electrolysis machines priced over 1,000 be computerized? Or is there something I should know?
Btw, I won it for $635-- bargain, reasonable, or overpriced for used?
Sophie, don’t forget to let us know what you think of the machine once you start using it. Pros, cons, comments, all of that.
And thank you for the book. Let me know that you received it back.
She’s referring to this listing.
Congrats, Sophie, and keep us posted on how the machine works out.
Assuming it works out fine, you got a better machine than what I paid about 50% more for.

Electrolysis manufacturers are a small cadre of entrepeneurs who serve a small market segment that happens to have the potential to make $30K to $60K per machine without fully booking all available normal work hours. The manufacturer’s customer base is also famous for not buying upgrades, so one must try to make enough to keep the business going on the small number of orders one gets per year, while paying for all the fixed costs like advertising.
Yes, it is true that you can still pay over one thousand US dollars for a machine that is not much different from that company’s product from 1979. For the same price, or just a little more, one can get a computerized machine that has programs in it that allow a skilled professional to make the machine do things the human body could not control in that way, but from a manufacturer’s standpoint, the pricing policy remains the same. They still have to get enough money out of the few machines they sell to cover all their expenses and still leave a profit.
No Flash, or MicroFlash on this model SS-69.
The company doesn’t even sell these brand new anymore.
It will go cheap, but only a person who has achieved proficiency could use it well.
Not a machine, but a decent starter kit for someone.
It’s in the UK, so ask about shipping.

ivelina, 4 and 5 on those search results are scams from Global Electrolysis Supply.

hopefully people will find what they are looking for.
The purpose of this thread is to pre-screen the search results, showing known legitimate machines for people to consider purchasing. If you find such machines posted for sale somewhere, please post the listings. Otherwise, as Andrea pointed out, the illegitimate machines outnumber by three to one or more.
Another electrologist is selling several machines. I don’t know how many he has. I asked him to give me a detailed break down of the machines, their model number and condition, but the letter bellow is all i got back from him:
"I have Instantron different models and shortvave and other blend systems from them, starting from $200 to $500 or best offer.
Thank You,
Nahid
Ana Visage Day Spa"
If interested, contact him for details at anavisage@msn.com
Great Silhouet-Tone product listed, Sequentium 328! It’s starting out at a very reasonble price. Whoever wins it is very lucky.
