The hair on the front is usually better suited for laser than the back and shoulders.
Is this the LightSheer machine? If so, it only has a 9mm or 12mm spot size depending on the model and isn’t adjustable. That 8mm has to be wrong.
Also, with this machine it’s important to make sure they use compression when treating and don’t just quickly glide over without much pressure.
The color of the hair is fine. BUT the most important thing is whether the hair is COARSE AND DENSE. That’s what makes the difference. Laser doesn’t work on hair that’s not coarse and dense and can actually stimulate more growth on shoulders and upper arms that don’t have that type of hair.
That was a typo. I meant 9mm, sorry.
The technician did press down during the test patch. I can’t tell if she did gliding motions or not because the test patch was very small.
The hair is pretty coarse and dense. Hair on my chest is coarser, but back/shoulder hair is pretty coarse too.
Is it like the type of hair you have on your chest? It needs to be the type that leaves a shadow and/or stubble when shaved.
It is a bit lighter and not as dense, so it doesn’t leave nearly as much shadow as the hair on my chest, although there is some. It definitely leaves stubble.
