Okay, so I had my session next week but I have postponed it for one more week as per LA girls advice (will be going in after 7 weeks instead of 6). I’m at 5weeks now and I don’t have any significant new hair growth yet. The only hair that’s growing is the 2 spots that were missed and I have noticed tiny bit of hair under my lower lip. They are way finer and fewer than than before probably just 10-15 of them. I think it might also be helpful to mention that the 20% of hair I thought had remained uncleared (I mentioned that I seem to have 80% clearance), a lot of them are either growing too slowly or are just black spots that didn’t shed. I thought initially that they were remaining hair but I don’t see them growing as usual.

LAgirl or someone else could you please let me know if I should request higher settings when I go in for my 2nd appointment? My last were 40J, 22 width and 1.2 Hz. Thanks guys!

You can wait longer than 7 weeks as well if there is still not enough growth to warrant a treatment. You should wait until there is enough growth. Could be up to 10 weeks.

It sounds like that setting was good. Higher is always good if your skin can handle it, but may not be worth the risk if you’re close to max and are at risk for burns.

Okay so an update. I got my 2nd treatment after 7 weeks. I experienced something strange this time. I shed hair in the first 2 weeks and the 2 remaining spots that were missed are clear as well. But after the 3rd week, I started growing new hair which is thinner and not as dark but still I’m sure it’s new. I hadn’t experienced this much hair re-growth 7 weeks after my first treatment. It was very slight. Why is new hair coming now? Is it a new phase or something? I mean it’s not as bad as pre-treatment and still I see no shadow, but I was thinking that my treatment was successful but seems like the hair isn’t gone for good?!

Okay, another update. I have had 3 treatments and its been almost 7 weeks since my third treatment. The new hair thats coming is quite sparse and way thinner! So things are looking good so far. I plan to have my 4th treatment 2-3 weeks from now. I don’t think there is still enough hair to warrant a treatment. Since the hair is sparse, the growth may look slightly uneven in the sense that I only seem to have 10-15 hairs on my chin, a few on my cheek etc. Its not even close to the horror stories that people have had (fingers crossed). Also, since the hair is very thin, its hardly noticeable when unshaved and not noticeable at all when I shave. As for my previous post, I think the second treatment was way too early, so I started getting more hair between my 2nd & 3rd treatment.

I am interested in reducing the density/thickness of my beard, as I too, do not like the razor burn and 5 o’clock shadow I get after shaving.

I do want to be able to grow a beard still – just not as thick.

Could you please send photos showing the progression of your LHR from the beginning to now. Perhaps show the starting point, how you skin looked after treatment (I heard the skin/hair can get really gross looking before it gets better), skin prior to session 2, post-session #2, etc

Thanks - I, and I’m sure other guys, are interested in seeing the progress one can get from a good practitioner.
