I would call around and see if you can find anyone nearby using thermolysis type of electrolysis. Even better if they have an Apilus machine. I wouldn’t go in for a consultation until you confirm that a place has this. I wouldn’t discount it altogether though.
Which is the best Apilus machine, in your opinion? Or most suited to dark, thick hair growth anyway?
I gently pulled out a good number of hairs yesterday from the treated area, I know you’re not supposed to, but hey. What I found odd was that all of the hairs were short when I pulled them out… I presume this means that the treatment only reached partway down the follices and broke them there? Or more likely that I broke them off and the remainders will become pepperspots?
No it would mean that that’s how long the hairs are… If the laser doesn’t reach deep enough then trust me those hairs aren’t going to budge at all.
If the hairs didn’t come out with the root, you probably broke them off on their way out.
It doesn’t matter which Apilus machine it is. They’re all good. It matters most that the electrologist knows what they’re doing.
Honestly I don’t even think on the face it would be possible to break them off, not easily at least. When I wait for the hair to shed, those suckers do not budge at all. It HURTS pulling on them, so you’d really have to be forcing them to have it break off I think :S
