Girl with Hairy Butt needs Help and Info

OhGod…anytime I know how much you feel you can’t stand to live with yourself…and it has to be one of the worse feelings in the world. I’ve got tiny hairs everywhere that don’t really bother me all that much, but they converge actually at my upper back and in a line down my stomache and THAT bothers me…and I can’t get those removed and still have the tiny hairs everywhere else look right. So, I guess I’m stuck with bleaching once to twice a week…forever. If only they’d made a permanent bleaching kit. I don’t mind how everything looks bleached, but I’m sick of having to do it, buy it, and worry about it every day.

Jane–Thank you for your input! I’m thinking of trying this Salon/Spa in Janesville because it’s closer. Have you heard anything about them? My skin is very sensitive, despite the fact I RARELY burn from the sun. Aaah, as if things couldn’t get worse…

pixee, I’m in the Milwaukee area so Janesville is too far for me. I don’t have any information about clinics in that area.

Well I set up a consultation for Thursday…we’ll see how it goes…I’m nervous to start this again…plus with the cost of everything…I just have to keep reminding myself that it will be better in the long-run.

Today was really weird for me. At 10:45 today I had an appointment with the Burbank tech. I wanted to personally ask her a few questions, and get a test patch done on my butt cheeks. So the first weird thing that happened was that I was waiting in the waiting room for a few minutes when I hear some people behind the receptionist desk say my name (the seat I was sitting in didn’t allow me to view them). I thought well I’m going to be called in soon. But ended up waiting about 30 min until I went up the desk and asked them how much longer. Well the receptionist somehow missed my name on the sign up sheet and didn’t know I had even showed up! (I found out later that the receptionist was new.) So after the confusion was all cleared up, I met the tech. I asked her a few questions, and she asked me to put on a gown after I take off my pants, and she’ll start lasering. I thought I was going to get a test patch done. Well tech apparently thought differently, and she proceed to put on numbing cream all around my butt. So I just thought she’s going to do really big test patch which was nice. But then she the entire butt and upper thighs! And when it was all done and I was about to leave, the receptionist tells me I have to pay 300 dollars! Yeesh! I didn’t want the actual treatment! So since I had the treatment done, I just had to pay! I know I should have said something sooner to the tech when she was doing the entire area of my butt, but I thought either she was being really nice for doing such a large area, or I would look like an idiot to stop everything when she had done so much and just say “hey I just wanted a test patch!”

As for my butt, it looks alright. Another thing I must poiint out is that I had a lot of red bumps from shaving, and I wanted to wait until the went away until I got my butt lasered. Now I’m a bit afarid I’m going to get hypopigmentation. But for now my butt looks alright, except my left butt check has a patch of redness like a rash. I’m really hoping it won’t turn into a blister! What can I do to prevent it from turning into a blister, and get rid of the redness? Help!

Well I just put baby oil with aloe vera on the redness part on my upper left butt check. Hopefully that’ll help it!

I forget to mention that the laser the tech used was GentleLASE at 14joules and 15mm.

did you go to Aestheticure chain btw? just curious about that place. they were very salesy over the phone, so I didn’t go get a consultation. they have an office in Beverly Hills as well. Shaving bumps won’t affect the treatment. Just keep applying aloe vera and let us know how it goes.

I went to Kay Aethestic Dermatology. My Dermatogolist originally recommended it, so that’s why I went. Thank you so much for telling me that shaving bumps won’t affect it! that takes a load off my mind. Now I just have to worry about the red blotchiness. I’ll keep you posted on that, and continue to apply baby oil aloe vera!

that redness should go away within 2-3 days as well. keep us posted.

You’re right! The redness is going away! Yay! I can’t sleep (it’s 3:00 in the morning here), so I thought I’d look at my butt to see how it’s doing, and the redness has almost disappeared! There is still a small quarter size red spot, but my butt looks much better! Thanks Lagirl for posting and helping me!

Well it’s been 5 days since I had laser hair removal on my butt, and the redness is all gone! I still have a few ingrown hairs on each butt cheek, so I’m using Tend skin to get rid of them. All in all everything is going well.

OhGodWhyMe - thanks so much for sharing such a personal story. I am so glad to hear that you got the LHR done and that everything went alright. How are you doing now? Can you tell me if you shaved the night before the procedure or the day of? Or can they just do the laser with full grown hair? I’m a little confused about that. Was it embarrassing having your butt lasered? I am wanting this area done so I am curious.

Thanks!!

Pinkglitter - I’m doing fine, and so is my butt! I’m actually shedding a little bit on there already! As for shaving before getting laser, I shaved 4 days prior, and that was because it was my first time shaving my butt so I wasn’t sure how fast and longer the hair would grow. You are supposed to shave several days before the day you get lasered. Never leave the hair as full growth. It was kind of embarassing , but worth it, and once I realized that the doctors and techs are used to doing people’s butt, then the embarassment goes away. So you want LHR on your butt too! What skin type are you? Do you have a lot of hair on your butt including between the butt cheeks? Where do you live?

Ohgodwhyme, I was wondering how much you paid for laser hair removal at the place you went. I read that you paid $300 for the butt area. I am not positive how long this area takes, but it’s seems like it would take less than an hour. I wanted to know if they are charging you by the hour or by the body part treated. I use to live in LA and went to UCLA, but now live in Texas. I use to go to a place in Beverly Hills, which is operated by a friend of my brother. He charges by the hour. He was running a special of $99 for 30 min. He is really good, he is located on Camden in Beverly Hills. The name of the business is ALC, Asthetic Laser Concepts. If you go there, ask if they are running the UCLA special by Eric. They might still be running it, but I’m not sure. He has a website, his name is Brian and he is really good at laser, but he is usually very busy. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

texasguy - I paid $300. I know that is very expensive! I’m going to try Dr. Babapour next time. He only charges $175 for the butt area. Both Dr. Babapour and Kay Aesthetic Dermatology charge per area. The butt area should take about 30 minutes. I still don’t mind taking any recommendations, so what’s the phone # and address of the place where you went? What kind of laser did they use?
