GET IT FOLKS! This issue of “anagen only / can’t kill telogen” has

If I may be characteristically “snarky” for a second, let me also say
that, indeed, I have lectured in some 10 countries (and still at it).
Of all the folks I’ve encountered, the British were the least
receptive listening to anything “new,” and were downright dismissive
and obstinate (stubborn) in their beliefs. I had a better audience in
PERU!

The simile used by Mr. Hinkel was very good. It is not the first time in my presence that someone has commented that “it is impossible to kill a hair that is already dead”. Again, who makes such claims, proves to have no idea of the dynamics of the hair cycle. First, the hair itself is not relevant, except to guide us to the true goal, ie the follicle. As Michael said recently, the hairs are not those which have different phases, but the follicles. The activity or inactivity is a thing of the follicle.

Following the example of Hinkel. The bus will kill you whether you’re walking down the road, as if the bus breaks down the walls of your house while you’re taking a nap on the couch in your living room. Active or inactive, you are susceptible to being wiped out.

I also want to add, that it is difficult to identify an Anogen hair at first glance until it is extracted. Regardless of the hair growth phase, and yes there are three. The process of Electrolysis will coagulate the cells and slowly kill the blood supply to the hair follicle, regardless of what phase the hair is in. Treatment, however, is more effective during the Anogen growth phase.
