Covered in Pepper spots, dead hairs stuck!!

basically can i shave the ‘unshedded’/ pepper spots away?? or will this affect anything??

Exfoliating would be a good idea. There are many ways to approach exfoliating. Do a search here on hairtell and read about other posters ideas.

You can shave. However, the hairs usually fall out when they’re rubbing against your clothing etc. If you constantly shave them, they won’t have anything to rub against to fall out faster. Exfoliating can help. Run a search on it here.

thanks i read some of the threads on exfoliating. i have been exfoliating for a month now, it worked on my chest but not on my thighs? does this mean that maybe i need to treat them at a higher setting next time? the hairs havent seem to have grown anymore though but im covered in dots and it feels like stubble. i would say hairs nearer to my pubic region shedded but especially on top of my thighs it doesnt look/feel like anything shedded yet.

  • i have been exfoliating atleast once a day for the passed 28 days :S

Exfoliating can help, but it doesn’t necessarily work on every area and for 100%. Settings don’t really have a lot to do with it. It has to do with the type of hair you have on that area. You’ll just have to wait for your next treatment when the hairs will be burned off during it.

omg, i’m having the EXACT same problem. my legs look disgusting, for at least 3 months now. there is absolutely no sign of shedding, the dead hair is too deep to fall out. i’m absolutely miserable, and im sick of being told to exfoliate or just wait because it DOESNT WORK.

When is your next treatment, cathy?

:frowning: recently i’ve now tried scrubbing my legs quite vigourously to exfoliate and now its made loads of spots some are quite sore too. yea and it looks quite horrible aswell. any advice experts? i’m thinking to ask for a higher setting on my thighs next time…

what would you call the state of these hairs? are they dead because they arent really growing, but if they are dead shouldnt they be shedding?

Definitely don’t scrub that hard. There is only so much you can do. Higher settings could help. However, it mostly depends on your skin and type of hair. On some areas, they’re unavoidable. They definitely take more than 3-4 weeks to come out. Sometimes up to a couple months and sometimes you have to wait until they’re burned off at the next treatment.

my next treatment is at the end of august. i should ask him to up the settings?

First, please call and find out what settings they’re using currently on you. We can’t really judge whether they’re too low if we don’t know what they are.
