Can I wax during 6 month break from LHR treatment?

Your posts get better every time, sslhr. I appreciate as always your careful explanations.

(I’ll keep this to one paragragh.)

Laser hair removal is nothing electrologists should fear and it is my impression, they don’t. The ones I have talked to are open and say it has been good for business. You see, the original poster, Jessica, will discover that laser will not affect those noticable white and light brown hairs on her upper lip and as much as she wants to hope it will, she will end up choosing either temporary options (which is fine!) or she will get hair-free permanently with electrolysis. I pursued this poster to make sure she understands this concept because not all laser pratitioners and owners are being honest with the consumer like you are, sslhr. I think we reached the understanding together that we are talking about OFFENDING LIGHT COLORED HAIRS and not the light hairs that no one see’s, feels or cares about anyway. I see this all the time in my practice: client had laser on the face > client may have success for dark, coarse hair (but not always) > client is left with coarse uncolored hair everywhere > Dee gets busy to finish the job > laser is good for business.

(Okay, I’ll do this in two paragraphs, instead. Forgive me.)

I don’t subscribe to the competition action that can exist between laser and electrolysis. I can’t even count how many people I have sent to a local laserologist for underarm, leg and bikini hair. I could have had the money, but I won’t hide the good I know about what laser can do for these areas. I will work hard though, to convince clients that they want me for their facial hair problem because inevitably, 95% of time, there are all colors of hair and
I always win to get them all in a timely manner, no matter the color or coarseness.

(Three paragraghs, I can’t help myself.)

You would be very wise to search for an electrologist for your centers so as to scoop up the leftovers ( light hair). He/She doesn’t have to exclusively perform microflash thermolysis, they just have to be experts at the modality they perform and CARE about the outcome. Texas is a great state and I’m sure there is a great electrologist that can partner with you to make your wonderful centers come full circle. I am discouraged that my profession does not have a firm standard on the educational side for every state. For those of you who want to become an electrologist, there are so many hurdles. No wonder it is hard to find a good electrologist in your locale. I understand why laser has to be the first choice of many consumers even if it’s not the best choice for their situation.

Thanks.

Ditto Dee.

Are you saying that my posts weren’t good in the beginning?

But it is nice to know that I’m getting better. Take care.
