Back Hair removal

Just an update 17 full days after 1st treatment for back. There has been no change in length of hair growth and is still soft stubble that can barely feel. There is not enough length to even grab with a tweezer. My back still looks clear

any thoughts on the above? What would a shedded hair look like? Would it be like a normal length hair pre laser?

If it’s not growing as usual, you’re likely fine.

Hi LAgirl can you elaborate more on my situation? I’m very pleased that i’m not seeing regrowth on back after 19 days post first treatment but I thought there was supposed to be shedding as in the hair coming back in to full length pre treatment then falling out?

Can you please post photos? It sounds like the hair stopped growing, so it’s just taking longer to shed. A bunch is probably there as pepperspots which take longer to shed or will be burned off at your next treatment. Are you exfoliating in the shower with a loofa? That helps the hair shed.

I see men with a wide range of skin tones who had induced hair growth from laser on their backs. 8-15 laser treatments later, they’ve presented thick growth that looks like they’re wearing a jacket. By that time, most people give up hope to get rid of the hair, and the ones who turn to electrolysis to save the day are skeptical. I get summoned to save the day after failed laser attempts all the time, with 100% success rate. Just keep in mind that there is a solution should your laser adventure fail your expectations.

That’s because people coming to you treated hair on their back that wasn’t dense and coarse. It has everything to do with finding an honest laser clinic that will treat the right type of hair. I would expect an honest electrologist to send clients with dark coarse growth on bikini to get good laser treatments done first instead of having them spend thousands of dollars on electrolysis.

25 Days and still no real growth. There isnt anything to exfoliate and i don’t see like real noticeable pepperspots but just light soft stubble. I will try to post pic when i can

Day 38 no shedding that I could tell. I also have no real regrowth on my back flanks just soft stubble still. On upper back I do get growth but it seems like it is not as dense as before and comes in slower. Is this a normal result after first treatment?

K i’ll ask again. This is day 42 since first laser treatment and really no regrowth to speak of. I am scheduled the 23rd for 2nd treatment but might be to soon at 8 weeks for me. Anyways sttill wondering if this is normal, i’m very happy it hasn’t come back as every post I read many have hair coming back in after a couple weeks. Im 6 weeks out and basiclly my back is still clear

Sounds reasonable. It means you had a good treatment and your body is reacting well to it. You will probably start to see the hair coming back in the next week or two, you could probably push your treatment another week or two if you really want but it should be fine the way it is now.

8 weeks is generally too early for this area. I’d wait 10-12. You should wait until you see new hair come in. It sounds like it hasn’t yet.

I’m going in for 2nd treatment next week and I am happy with result post first treatment. I do see the hair coming back but is still barely noticeable and not as dense. I would be glad to do this as long as it takes to be hair free for months at a time which I pretty much have been for the last 8 weeks. I think I’m having a good result from what you guys tell me compared to others.

There is no point of coming in before you have enough hair grow in to treat. You’re wasting money as you’re not targeting all the possible hair and will require more treatments overall (i.e. more money). Wait a few more weeks.

There is no set time schedule between treatments.

You need the next treatment when the hair has grown back to treat, its as simple as that. There is zero point treating hair free skin, so dont let the clinic talk you into that.

My experience of my later treatments was I waited 11 weeks, then 16 weeks, then 20 weeks.

I just completed treatment 3 today and each treatment has been at 8wks. I seem to get new growth right around mid week 6 but it is not nearly as dense or coarse pre first treatment. I’m very happy with my results thus far and although it comes back it is not nearly as dense and I have many weeks hair free.

Thanks for the update! Even if you have a moderate hair after the laser process is finished, some/ many people feel so elated just to have those big, noticeable hairs reduced in size and less noticeable at a quick glance. Can you submit pictures of your progress. Maybe you could copy and paste your results in the Laser success thread, too.

At this point, you can start waiting longer, up to 12 weeks. That way, you can truly judge what’s left.

Finished my 4th treatment and have had very good results. Only regret I have with laser is that I didn’t do this years ago. Wish I took before photos and after but I didn’t.

Know I havent updated in awhile but had 5th treatment today so like was 16 weeks since my 4th treatment. Hair was not course at all and thinned out and compared to pre first treatment results have been very good. I go months hair free with Gentlelase
