Can you find out what settings she used on the spot size and planning to use for your treatments? If it’s GentleLASE, you just need to know the spot size and joules.
She probably meant that she will shave you herself when you get in. The area needs to be shaved prior to treatment - so either you do it or she does it. If you do it yourself, it helps to have a bit of stubble so that they can see exactly where to treat.
Just wanted to chime in–I’m a very hairy girl, fairskinned, and had my thighs done about 10 years ago. I had all the same issues as you re shorts, sun, sex, etc., and I can’t tell you how much the lasering changed my life. My thigh hair was too coarse and deeply-rooted to wax, so I used an electric razor. (You may want to do that to prep for your laser treatments, esp. if you have sensitive skin like me.)
I was lasered with a ruby (this was 10 years ago, you won’t find those now), and I had skin irritation at the time of treatment but got 100% clearance that has lasted till now with no touch-ups. My thighs used to actually be physically painful (ingrown, scratchy, hot & miserable), but that’s completely gone. Good luck with your treatments! Let us know how it goes.
