Anxious about electrolysis

This is pretty funny except for the fact that it is true. Not sure what “theater” she was referring to but if she was at a club or something she was probably high.

Ah geez, I’m a little embarassed right now. But thank you for clarifying this.

So does this mean I can continue going to her despite the fluid leakage, scabs, occasional plucking and painful insertions (at least when I last went there)? Because I really want to get this over with and I want to be able to continue with her. I was just so worried because it’s literally in the middle of my face, it would be a different thing if it was, say, my armpits or something.

Hey. I noticed this darker area in my upper lip but when my face is directly towards light it doesn’t show, so I went right under the light and it appears that there’s this slightly sunken area in my upper lip that is visible when the light comes from above me, so it creates this weird shadow… It looks like hyperpigmentation but now I know it isn’t that. Is it possible that electrolysis could cause skin to depress or sink or lose it’s structure or collagen?

Can I continue with my practitioner despite all of the other “red flags”?

I dont believe I want to go on record saying its safe to see this practitioner again, , I was hoping some of the professionals here would intervene and venture an opinion, but that didnt happen this time.

A picture is worth, 1000 words. Yet even though though you’ve posted them a bit of time has elapsed in healing and I cant judge from the pictures provided. I can tell you the area looks as if it will heal fine , just normal healing.

Seana

Yeah, same here.

I called her and we talked about it for a bit. I asked is it possible that electrolysis could cause scarring and she said yes and I’m a little worried… I have an appointment next week so I’ll post photos after the treatment. I’ve read that lavender oil helps with healing and minimizes scarring so I’ve been thinking about adding that to my aftercare.

I don’t know if my upper lip is any better, the “holes” seem to be still there. It really did feel as if she was poking holes in my skin the last time and now that I think about it I don’t remember having them before that.

I’ve read that blend has a kill rate of 70% so how many times does one follicle have to be treated in order to kill it for good?

Thanks!
