Another session - getting there!

Your posts are super helpful and yes, the nasty look after a treatment is not necessarily an indication of bad treatment or of any lasting marks (but the hairs are truly dead).

A few days ago I consulted with a client with gigantic hairs, but he didn’t want any post-op manifestations at all; I mean ZERO! Actually, he had hairs like these in the photo. I said I can’t fulfill his request and won’t take-on the client.

Note: Just in case you thought California was all beach and palm trees? Well, this is a recent photo of a California Sequoia. Yes, kids here ski, and surf too … sometimes in the same day! And SURFS UP at the moment!

The redness goes away in a day; the marks are gone in a couple days, and the bumps are gone in a week. I apply a “Betatone” cream twice a day. In ten days you can’t see a thing except nice, smooth skin.

Some pictures after 36 hours. Redness is gone. Some green-black areas have become visible from the lidocaine injections; they’ll fade away in a couple of days.

Thanks for the posts Kostik, very interesting to read.

I have just started this process in South Africa but unfortunately there are not to many electrologists in my area. I have managed to find someone who has taken on the project but can only manage 30 minute sessions at a time. I try get 2 or 3 appointments a week so its going to take some time to get traction.

I was curious about your story… Do you live in Thailand or just make the trip to visit this center for treatments? I was also interested in the costs involved?

Anyway thanks for sharing, much appreciated and very impressed with the results in your photos!

Durbanite: yes I’m an expat living and working in Bangkok. There is really only one place for electrolysis here (which is odd, since cosmetic medical services is a big business in Thailand, and there are millions of laser clinics) - Yanhee Hospital. They charge $130 per hour, plus $90 for the needle. I have had to replace the needle twice since I started about a year or so ago. Not cheap, but the doctor gives as many lidocaine shots as necessary, and what with all the prep, ice packs, lidocaine shots, and antiburn gel and gauze afterward, three hours of actual electrolysis can mean 5-6 hours in the hospital. I think it’s worth the money.

Picture after 17 days - no sign of electrolysis remaining.

Hey Kostik, do you have any pictures of the areas you have mentioned in this thread before you started electrolysis?

Thanks for sharing your experience with electrolysis. It’s amazing how fast things clear up after a session. By day 17, you can’t even tell. The results look fantastic.
