FYI, I updated my page on International Hair Route today. I may have some print editions around here somewhere!

I met the owner in Las Vegas many years ago when I gave a keynote at the AEA convention. I think he saw this site as a competitor and was a little standoffish, but my focus has always been consumers.

Hair Route was greatly missed when it just stopped publication. Nobody knows exactly why they stopped (at least I don't). And, except for Dectro, nearly everything in electrology is a cottage industry.

Problem with "family run" cottage enterprises is that when the principal decides to quit, the entire company goes under and is gone forever. The list of "tummy ups" is long and getting longer. Hair Route, Fischer, Hinkel, Sudonna, Gentronics (multiple needle), Kree (at one time the biggest) ... etc. It's a very long list indeed. (Companies all based on one individual.)

Although I don't agree with the Court that "corporations are people," corporations have the advantage of living into the future and providing continuity of their goods and services.

There are other corporations though, a few off the top of my head:
Silouete Tone, Ballet, Zeiss (for optics) .
I'm pretty sure TES is a corporation but one must always remember there are people and families behind those corporations, so when they retire or decease, sodoes the corporation in many cases.

Doesn't the AEA already produce educational magazines similar to Hair Route but for CPE members only?

AEA produces the Journal of Electrology. It was a physical book sent twice a year at one point for members. Not sure if they still do.
